Are there many Irish in NC?

Well....hard to say. "Traditionally", a lot of the state (mostly eastern) is Scotch/Irish. But they've been around since the 1700's or so so they're more...Southern...than Scotch or Irish. However, since the 70's we've had all kind of outsiders moving in so it's hard to tell what we've got. :)

Oh, well then there's lots of folks of Irish descent at least, which counts IMO. I'm as much Irish as anything, but it's been a long time since we got here. I enjoy "pints," anyway, which is an Irish trait.

I think we have a tendencey to continue thinking of ourselves quite a bit in terms of our ancestry.

I dropped my daugter off in Syracuse, half the town's Irish, seemingly, the other half Dutch, with a good mixture, strangely, of Africans.

You have a nice kitty kat, I think.
