If I had joined later I likely would have picked a LoTR screen name. Asfoloth, maybe, or Arwen.... Now THAT would have changed my image! 'Specially in the middle of the anti-feminist Arwen-role paranoia!

LOL!

Actually, picking a screen name was a big reason it took me so long to join. I didn't want to get stuck with something I eventually hated (some of the goofier names that came to mind would have been in that category, i.e. CheeseMoose!), and Ididn't want to use my real name...then when all the ring stuff started, I knew what I wanted but figured it was SURELY already taken. But I got lucky!

Heck, as a refuge from the political (2000) and religion wars, I'm on my third screenname. First time JR changed it for me, so I kept my original sign-in date. Second time, I wasn't sure I'd come back, so I cancelled the other account.

I just thought the dwarf-name I got from the Middle-Earth name generator was "clever." And that was before I ended up in The Hobbit Hole.

I've been around since 1999 (as a lurker, then a poster in 2000), so my "member since" date is misleading.

HairOfTheDog was a nickname I was given in college, and has been my personna at most online places I have ever registered. I was happy it was available here!
