My wife is on her way to Raleigh this morning. I'm here trying to stamp out the sparks that could turn into wildfires if I have to leave suddenly.
My father-in-law is at peace, and I think he's ready to go home. Those of us who believe in Christ Our Savior believe this world isn't really home anyway.
The hard part will be dealing with the family. My wife is the strong one, and will be so in the next few days/weeks. She'll need a lot of support from home, which hopefully the boys and I can give her. But the rest of the family pretty much wrote the book on dysfunctional. The younger sister that lives here in Richmond said she'll go "later." I just hope she doesn't regret that.
Anyway, I'll be bouncing in and out cause nothing really is holding my attention for that long. But I do need to get some work done.
Thanks for caring.
