I don't remember it from the movie, but would it be like the salute to each other that fencers do at the start of a match, guard of sword to the nose then a swish down, then start the match?

That sounds about right to me...hmmm, wonder where that tradition came from...

You see it all the time in swashbuckler movies. The style of it is a bit different, but I think it probably all comes from the same tradition.

That fencing thing, salute or whatever, sounds kind of right. Now that I think of it, it said somewhere that an expert guy was on hand to teach the actors swordfighting; I think it may have said that he coached this in alot of movies in the past.
