I've never seen the Narnia films. I read the books several times in Jr Hi and High School, and in fact wrote a big English paper studying the allegorical elements in them (back when you could do such a thing in a public school). These are the only other fantasy books I have ever read, and in fact I have not read them since I got started on Middle-Earth over a decade ago. But I still highly recommend them, and am planning on getting a set for my nephew next Christmas.

Definitely! I still have my set from my youth and I thoroughly intend to read them to my boys!

Most books I read are quick paperbacks that I enjoy for a moment and then get tossed into the Goodwill bin or donated to the church or passed along to my mom. If I keep something, then you know I liked it a lot! Remember, my LOTR books are from the mid-70s! ;-)

Did you ever get your Two Towers back? Did you see Merry and Pippin on the front?
