I dunno... I guess it depends on whether the posters you don't agree with are the ones that are driving the forum direction or the outsiders.
I gave up posting in controversial threads for months because I never saw any minds changed, only arguments that further polarized people. It was common to feel I needed a shower afterwards, but I have recently become interested again. I am interested in attempting to be a bridging and calming influence on some issues.
My personal beef is that I think conservatives should not waste all their energy attacking one another or sounding repulsive (rather than convincing) to the opposition, two faults I see commonly in FReepers. There are a few issues conservatives as a whole need help learning how to handle without sounding like jerks. The environment and race politics are two of those, and I am trying to slowly get involved. I usually avoid abortion, not sure how I got into that today.
Where are your trouble spots?

I can multitask!

I'm afraid it seems the ones I disagree with are the ones that are driving the forum direction.
I won't post what my beef is here, because it wouldn't be right for this thread. I'll probably stay quiet about it, because I don't think it's a battle I can win, and I don't think I want to expend energy fighting it.
I'm thinking about it a lot, though.

I like arguing on some of them, but some folks are so arrogant that there's just no point.
