Yayy, it worked, it worked! :) So glad you got to see it!

I downloaded it last night, and really enjoyed it, but it seems a little too dark (I used the version on Imladris.net). Can anyone who has seen the trailer on the internet and in the theatre say if the theatre version is equally dark?

The one on the internet that I have flickers a lot, so I think the darkness is from the camera-flicker. The preview in the theater is quite dark in that there are a lot of "dark" scenes, but it's certainly much, much better than the internet version.

The theater version places quite a dramatic emphasis on contrasting light and dark, with lightening flashing at Helm's deep and the dark of the forest contrasted with the brightness of Gandalf's appearance. Much of that gets lost in the translation to the 'net. Anyone who can see it in the theater really should if possible, just because it's a much better viewing experience....

No actually, LCS, some of us commented on how rich the colors were in Legolas's eyes in the Gandalf sneaking-up scene, and elsewhere.

Is your version the audience video tape? (the video tape "blinks") or the small-screen short version? The video taped version that I have is dark, due the the way it was done through a digicam, and the colors don't come through as well as they did in "real life"
