Good morning everyone...

Recovered a bit from my marathon LOTR viewing of last night... wow! 6 hours, watching the movie and then all the special features. Was great! Only the third time we'd seen the movie, and Rose and I had a lot of fun stopping and going over some parts in slow-mo (like Legolas running up the chain to attack the cave troll!) and talking about all the background stuff that we couldn't talk about in the theater.

Jen, just finished re-reading both The Mote in God's Eye and The Gripping Hand here. Enjoyed them both, although I think the sequel doesn't quite match the original!

Have a good day all!

Good morning!

I have made progress by getting the kitchen cleaned up, now to focus on the living room and the place will be fit for company!

I will be doing as much of the marathon as my brother can stand today too!

Taking a break from mowing. It's very hot, but not as hot as it could be...only about 90 degrees.

I rented it this week too. I was extremely disappointed because the DVD I rented was 4:3 and not in the widescreen theater dimensions. What were they thinking??? I just hated losing all that screen area in those magnificent scenes!

The video store guy told me all of the rentals were like that but you could buy a wdidescreen version. I wanted to wait till a package set comes out with all 3 movies before I buy one.

Anyway, I was curious if the one you watched was widescreen or not.
