If I remember, it was caused by something to do with the transfer from film to DVD format.

The first time it happened I thought "changing reels" on a DVD. LOL

Well, since I haven't noticed it even when casually looking for it, I will stop looking for it...

If I suddenly notice it, it will certainly bug me from then on out!

Oh, I think that's what I'm remembering! Your comment about the pauses corresponding to the "change reels" mark in the movie!
