Aldis is a discount grocer. Very basic. You pay a quarter to use a basket (but they give you the quarter back when you safely return it to it's designated spot.) Then you get food and some dry goods for really cheap, but you have to buy the bags to put it in (or bring your own, or haul it off in one of their empty boxes). They only take cash. All this comes to being able to get staple items at a good price. .49 for a dozen eggs, 1.99 for milk, .49 bread. A box of graham crackers cost me .99 and corn chips cost .68. They are not nationally known brands, but I have found that most the time they are BETTER than the nationally known brands! (Unlike Dollar General brands that taste terrible and are worthless.)
There is at most 2 people running the store at any given time and it's only open till 7pm. I love their coffee more than any other brand name.
