It's one of my goals to get a pilots license when I have more time and money. My mom's friend from work took us up once when I was about 14 and he let me fly all the way from houston to college station and back (he took off and landed of course). I have craved flying ever since.

It would cost you about $3000 to get your license, tops. and it comes in dribbles by the hour... you'll never even notice it! Would be fun... My most-fun students were adults... the kids, of course, knew it all, and tested me on identification of every odd plane we saw because they had memorized their copy of Jane's. Kind of like teaching Tolkien fanatics... correcting you all the time.
