That was my exact dream through middle school, I get glasses, and they tell me fighter pilots can't have vision problems. Bummed me out. If only I would have just went for it anyway and I could have gotten Laysic eye surgery. Man this is depressing.... next topic....

They don't accept you for pilot training if you've had eye surgery either, that's my understanding. You can have mild vision problems to be a cargo pilot but not a fighter pilot.

Me too... had F-16 posters in my room.

I did end up going to flight school, but not in the military. Have Commercial/Multi/Flight Instructor ratings... but money (or the need for it) drove me to other work besides flight instructing in this climate. Flight instructors dont get paid when it is too rainy to fly. Kind of just an expensive hobby now... and I havent even done that much lately. Maybe someday I will teach again... would be fun if I didn't have to live on the income.
