WHAT!?!? Are you sure? I'm almost positive that I got his name from the book. Now I have to check it out when I get home.

I don't have my books with me to check for sure, either... but after doing some web-searches, it seems that "Lurtz" was a character/name invented for the movie... he did not appear in the book.

ORCs names were:
Uglúk (the captain of Uruk Hai)
Grishnákh (captain of the Mordor orcs)

Lugbúrz - place the Mordor Orcs wanted to go... Mordor in Orcish, perhaps?
