I can't wait to see your flitty dwarf dance. Perhaps I'll first get a chance to demonstrate my dwarf axe...nothing flitty about that.

Thank you Bear. At least someone knows how to respond gracefully.
Now I really do need to get some work done...back in about 90 posts...

Sure....now that the Precious is taken, all the sneaks sneak back into their cubby holes.

angelo, how far did we get on the last thread of TNS before we switched over to our current thread? Weren't we closing in on 30,000? Actually, we got up to 37,680. The only reason we ended it was in order to move the discussion over to the new religion forum.
To: ksen
If we had kept going on that thread, we'd now be up to 51,540, and fast approaching the limits of the software! ;o)

Hey, two different people who've read the Retief books! I love them, I just can't find more than half the stories. Baen reissued about twenty of the stories in a new collection, and I have seven volumns from the used bookstore, but sadly, they're almost impossible to find. I still want to find
Retief and the Pangalactic Pageant of Pulchritude, mostly so I can prove to certain people that yes, that is a book.
Bear, great list! I like Zelazny's Amber series greatly. Haven't read any of the rest of his stuff. If you've read Tad Williams, have you read Otherland? That's probably one of the best epic SF series to come along in a very long time. They're all four in paperback now, so you won't have to wait four months for the last book, the way I did. That was horrible, I nearly killed the "friend" who'd gotten me hooked. Anyway, your Rose is a Heinlein fan? Good for her. I like the juveniles - my first science fiction! - Starship Troopers, Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Puppet Masters, and The Door into Summer, plus most of his short stories. I don't like his other 'adult' novels - what happened to him!!! - and definitely hate Stranger in a Strange Land.

I don't like his other 'adult' novels - what happened to him!!! He had a stroke. His writing after that was a little "odd".
