Surely they'll do it "for the children..."

the only kind of Bar-B-Q my wife prepares is North Carolinian.I prefer Florida style barbecue (meat is smoked and sliced, sauce is on the side)'
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
I may partake and enjoy the Bar-B-Q from other regions, but I'm not alloowed to like any but North Carolinian...

What part of Florida BBQ's that way, LCS?

"they'll do it "for the children..."Hillary will, and she's about the scariest of them, except for those who admire her.
To: Corin Stormhands
I'm not alloowed to like any but North Carolinian. We don't see a lot of Dwarf women, but I am sure you are wise not to annoy yours.

I've never been know to turn down BBQ of any kind. :) When I do BBQ it's Lexington Style. (Note: in NC the term "BBQ" used by itself refers to pork. Other kinds of BBQ are qualified such as "BBQ chicken", "BBQ beef", etc.)

What part of Florida BBQ's that way, LCS?Once you get south of Orlando, on the coasts, you aren't in Florida anymore culturally, you are in the northeast, the midwest, the Carribean, or in Latin America.
There is one moderate sized chain of Florida style barbecue, called Sonny's. It is based in Gainesville, and is available in most of northern and north central Florida, plus additional places like Georgia. Smaller chains and independent restaurants make Florida barbecue a lot like Sonny's.

"When I do BBQ it's Lexington Style"
Is that Lexington, VA, over in the valley?
To: Sam Cree
Lexinton, NC. The Center of Western NC BBQ.

When I first met my husband, he was dating me and another girl...a vegetarian.

There are times, I really miss Bill Millers. I used to eat there all the time, when I lived in Austin...fairly cheap, fairly good and the best and biggest sweet tea!
My husband and I used to eat at Bill Miller's quite frequently...but they don't have them here in Oklahoma.

I really miss Bill Millers. I used to eat there all the time, when I lived in Austin..Lived in Austin last springtime, wonderful area, worst political atmosphere in Texas. There are a bunch of great Freepers there though, and the barbeque and Tex-Mex food is great.

When I first met my husband, he was dating me and another girl...a vegetarian.I guess that he is a confirmed meat eater -- the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

When he graduated from college, I bbqed a cabrito for him! We had a bunch of people over and had cabrito fajitas. Mmmm! There was a place in East Austin that made it's own chips and fresh tortillas. It was cheap and oh so tasty. I have never found the like here. :-(

There are times, I really miss Bill Millers. My wife looooooves Bill Miller's. We don't eat there very often though, because (ducking) I'm not a big fan of barbecue.
It's not my fault though, I grew up in Michigan!

Lived in Austin last springtime, wonderful area, worst political atmosphere in Texas. There's a reason we call it Goofytown. But, for all it's liberal zaniness, I still think the politics are not quite as bad here as in, say, Houston.

Leaving work here, and we're going out tonight (Italian) so catch you later all!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
No! Not Italian! BBQ a cabrito! You can get them at White Egret Farm, I think on the way to Bastrop. Organically raised kid, plus the milk and cheese to go with.
They used to have a deep freeze and a jug out by the high way, you could just drive up, take out what you want and leave the required money in the jug.
