But we have seen the Legolas surfing scene in the trailer, and it rocks... I like it! Oh, there's no doubt that it looks cool, but doncha think that in terms of Middle Earth behavior it's a bit strange?
I mean, the clip where Legolas swings himself under the horse's neck and lands in front of Gimli in the Warg attack is cool too and it stays true to what you'd expect an elf to be able to do AND maybe something that Tolkien would envision. After all, JRRT did write that elves didn't even need saddles - an example of elves' ability/relationship with horses.
Somehow, I just can't see JRRT placing a surfing scene at Helm's Deep. But who knows? If JRRT were still alive today, he may have loved it. :)

Well, maybe Tolkien would not have written surfing down the stairs, But I think it is a four-second cheeky little thing that will make me smile!
To: g'nad
Good one bro. Keep that thing out of the hands of the elves...

I love this! I can really relate to this guy in the picture! Just grinning so big! LOL I love it. The only way I would improve it would be to say "you fat cow!"
To: 2Jedismom
LOL! Did you make that poster 2J?
To: HairOfTheDog
No...I got it off the "GOTTA SEE THIS" thread. I love it though...
I know I've seen that glint in my own eyes now and then!
Every time I look at it, I just roar for some reason.
To: 2Jedismom

I am runnin' on cable now! - Have been all morning! maybe it is fixed for good!Whew! Thank goodness! I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya! ;)
2J - I love that poster! I should print one up at home (color printer) and have it laminated. Then, I can tape it to the tailgate of my truck!
I finally listened to Gollum's Song for the first time just now. I guess it has to grow on you because I found it be a bit grating. I love the lyrics and the music, but the actually singing melody (not her voice though) was discordant to the point of being distracting.
To: RMDupree
Yeah.... listen to it a few times... It had to grow on me.
To: HairOfTheDog
I bet it doesn't! ;~D Looks like his hair is doing that fly-away thing. Someone needs to hand him a brush.
To: HairOfTheDog
I called my hubby on his cell phone and played the Leonard Nimoy Bilbo Baggins song! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!
Needless to say, he was none too pleased with it. He didn't like Gollum's Song either, although he understood that a song for Gollum could not be a sweet sounding thing. It wouldn't fit the character if it was.
