Steve Martin.... mmm, not sure. Maybe, but he's a little tall and thin for the part, don't you think? Or am I thinking of the wrong guy?

I am off for awhile... have to actually go into the office today :~(
Perhaps I can check in from there occasionally today!

"....
it is deeds, not just a face...."
Hmmmmm...........that would explain why Aragorn is more attractive to me than Boromir, although truth to tell, Sean Bean is every bit as good looking as Viggo in the movie; I guess it's true; character counts!!!
Not that I think ol' Boromir is all that bad of a guy.........

Hey, that could work!
To: DonnerT
Shadowfax has been cast, I have seen him, A grand Grey Andalusian:

As for Aragorn's mount, I would propose my very own BayWind:

LOL! Hey, it could! I see some definite Bombadillion features in that face!!!:)

Thanks OT...

Nathan Lane has the same problem as Shatner. He can only be Nathan Lane.

Who would you cast this guy as? He's 6'7".

I don't know. Can he act? (My number one criteria before I cast anyone... physical compatability or looking like character comes in a distance 2nd)
To: DonnerT
Mm, he looks a little like Theoden, maybe. It's hard for me to imagine actors 'in character', especially if the actor's in t-shirt and jeans, and the character would be wearing armor.
Who do you think he should be?

Who is he?
To: carton253
He is a consumate actor, though unknown. Has been playing confident family patriarch for 20 years.

Huh? Oh, this is your pic? Then you're saying you play favorites with your kids and are insane, intent on committing suicide in a dramatic way because you're depressed and convinced you're fighting a losing battle?
Just kidding. But I think of Denethor as a stern, cold, man - incidentally also beardless. Very Roman, perhaps.

Well, it all washes out in the audition, doesn't it?
To: JenB
How about Alan Rickman?
I'm sure Jackson picked the right person. He has been spot on in every role so far.
