I especially like the song "Travelin' Soldier".

I always get weepy when I hear that one! But the one that really makes me tear me up is "Little Man"

Ned's death made me sad, too. I don't have a clue who his mistress was, did you figure it out?

Your Mom must be pretty.

She was beautiful, Sam - a beautiful person, and the best mother a gal could ask for.

Yes, it is a tear-jerker for sure. I haven't heard "Little Man" yet, we don't have the CD. One of the local radio stations plays lots of tracks from the CD though.

Yeah, I think I am now the oldest here...I don't mind my age, and knowing and enjoying stuff I didn't used to...however, I am now ready for it to stop, if it could without killing me, which it can't. I've had a great life, though, so far, and expect it to continue for quite awhile.

Where is LCS, anyway?

Which Tim McGraw song didn't you like?

One of his latest, one that I can't seem to escape hearing on the radio all the time. Don't know the song title; probably "Red Ragtop"...but it involves him and his girlfriend deciding to have an abortion. 'Nough said.

Have you heard any of Alan Jackson's songs? His latest CD "Drive" is really good!

Yep - like Alan Jackson. He's the real deal. Also like Randy Travis and Clint Black.

Why, you could say I'm positively steeped in old-timey!

Ah, yes! Another "O Brother" fan, I take it?

It was really bad! I recommend you don't go here!

Landover Baptist Movie Review | The Homosexual Habits of Hobbits in the Two Towers

It is satire, but not funny satire.

I agree with you on Randy Travis and George Jones too!

You guys beat me to stuff...I'm still catching up!

I like Merle Haggard, too, though I admit about my favorite album of his isn't really Haggard stuff - it's him doing Jimmy Rodgers ("Same Train, Different Time"). It's one of my very favorite CDs of all time - wonderful!

Anyway, it is pulled, and the chicken poster has been banned... signed up today. Yeah right. No one posts crap like that their first day. I think he was either a returning disruptor or a poser.

Rosie, does one of your Brad Paisley CDs have the song "I'm Sure Gonna Miss Her" on it. I think that is the name. He starts off singing about his wife threatening to leave him if he goes fishing again. Then he talks about the fish biting, and says "I'm sure gonna miss her"?

Yep - also known as "The Fishing Song". That's one of the songs I heard on the radio that made me want his CDs - that and the fact that I hadn't heard ANY song of his that I DISLIKED, which is unusual.

Sir SuziQ came home from the grocery store one night with their new CD for me. It is called "Home" and it is VERY good!

I've heard most of it, and want it...but once again can't bring myself to spend $16 for it. And I'd take the cover off, I think. ;-) I will own it eventually, though!

Ned's death made me sad, too.

It made Rob's move at the end that much sweeter.

I don't have a clue who his mistress was, did you figure it out?

There are tons of theories. Some think Ned isn't Jon's father.

Ned would have been too honorable to cheat. Ned's sister, Lyanna died in a "bed of blood" (childbirth?). Jon could be the heir to Rhaegar Tarygaen. Ned claimed Jon as a bastard to keep Robert Baratheon from killing him.

Oh, that one. Haven't heard it, but have heard about it.

Like Randy Travis and Clint Black too!

I'm going to keep thinking of more recommendations... ;)
