Funkle Dupree Thank you for not keywording me. I'm lucky that Corin is busy tonight. :)

I could do the honors, if you like. :)

I wonder if I'll see a TTT trailer there? All the trailers we've seen have been during high-profile shows... on Thanksgiving during the football games, last night during Monday Night football, tonight during "24"... which is a great show, by the way! The first season is out on DVD....

Hullo night dwellersCreatures of the night?
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Have you made backups of all your data? Is that important?
Heh.... Really I am just cleaning up my file folders and stuff, no real harm can be done. I don't think! ;~D

Creatures of the night? It's astounding!
To: RMDupree
Hullo! - Sometimes we are real quiet at night - Sometimes not!

I could do the honors, if you like. :) No, thank you. Really, I insist. But thanks anyway!

Thank you for posting that link! It is fun!Glad you enjoyed it!
Well, gang, another day without a phone call. And I got to talking with a guy during choir practice who, as it turns out, applied for the same job - and he already works for the college. That doesn't make me feel that great about my chances. He DID say they were just starting the interview process and it sounds like (unlike the company I worked for) they consider everyone, rather than looking internally first and not even considering outsiders until they've had a chance to fill the post internally. (How's that for a convoluted sentence??)
Maybe tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow.
To: RMDupree
Really...it'd be no trouble at all.

Well, as long as you don't empty your recycle bin before you know everything is the way you want it, I guess you'll be ok!
I get nervous moving or deleting stuff... always want to make sure I have a backup, just in case! ;)

Nee!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Oh I have screwed up moving stuff around myself. I am missing 6 critical months of work email from the last time I cleaned up.... Dang that!

"24"... which is a great show, by the way! What's "24"?
I don't pick up any stations, so I dunno why I'm asking, but...
To: RosieCotton
Hopefully tomorrowYes.... I hope too!

Hello! I'm back from choir. I see we're having a tree discussion. We used to have a really fake tree, but we threw that out when we moved into this house. Now it's a tree war. Dad wants twenty-foot trees - we have a cathedral ceiling - and Mom wants 8-foot trees. We go out to the Christmas tree farm and tromp around looking for the perfect tree. That way it stays fresh for weeks. We'll be going out this weekend, hopefully...

another day without a phone call.Well, pardon me for saying so, but that just sucks. But, I don't think you should give up hope... government entities are notoriously slow-moving, plus you have the holiday complication. They may be aiming to interview now with the goal of having someone in place after the first of the year. I am still keeping my fingers crossed!

... government entities are notoriously slow-movingTell me about it! It's taken them a full month to get from resumes to the interviewing process! And I'm stressing because this is the ONLY interview I've been offered, so I'm really hoping for this job...and they haven't even given me an interview time!
They may be aiming to interview now with the goal of having someone in place after the first of the year.
In a way, that's kind of what I'm hoping...except that I'm hoping they would interview and decide right away, but not necessarily have someone start before January. In a way, that would be ideal, though it doesn't help much with Christmas funds. I guess I'll know soon enough...but I wish I had more than one possible job!

I still have my fingers crossed too!!

We were buying small live trees for awhile...We started running out of places where a future big tree could go at the beach house! My mother's ornaments are tiny little neat things... and look best on a small scale tree.
I have relaxed so that my dad's lady friend can use her ornaments and we can get a big tree. She has beautiful stuff she was afraid to use at first because I was a bit unpredictable about nostalgia and memories the first few years. It began to be painfully obvious that everyone was walking on eggshells about Hair's ornaments and Hair's emotional health. I snapped out of it and I have spent the last couple years trying to convince them to stop worrying about me... We have a new Christmas now and I am OK with that!
