The Hobbit Hole is funny this morning!Hullo! - LMAO and sipping coffee!
I was late to bed late to rise, contrary to my best intentions last night. I ended up reading the new Ted Maher thread because I am a sucker for a big train wreck! Now I am paying for it!

Hey, I found a good way to clean my whistles. I initially clean all of them with Daken's solution, using a nipple brush if they're not sealed, but then now and then (if someone else has played them like my mom or the kids) I give the mouthpiece a good rub of alcohol...only I use the wintergreen kind and it puts a nice fresh smell on it.
I slosh them in Listerine just to freshen them up a bit. Just the mouthpieces of course.

I was going to order one of those swabs to clean the bores with. I'd put the mouthpieces in Listerine, but I'm worried about ruining the wood block on my Clarke.

Yes, that's true. I don't think (if you asked me) I'd let anyone use my whistle if it had a wooden block. I would never feel like I could get it clean. Sorta like licking a donut.
