This is extremely interesting...my six year old is wild about his toy bow and arrow...shoots suction cup arrows all over the house! I wonder when would be a good time to get him in to some lessons? I bet he would really like it.

Good evening, everyone! I am totally exhausted - went to the amusement park day with my school. We had absolutely perfect weather - cloudless sky, 70s and 80s all day, couldn't ask for better. The downside is that I am exhausted, my feet are crying in pain, and I am as red as a boiled lobster. I feel about like a boiled lobster too, but it serves me right for not going to church.

Oh! I'm exhausted but still wound up, so I think I'll be doing some serious studying. When are we next going to do a movie chat? I'm not going to have many chances after Wednesday evening, not for the rest of the summer. If we want to do one, either Tuesday or Wednesday will work very nicely for me. Just everyone let me know....

Hi Jen! Sounds like you had a good day just remember the sunscreen next time. Either Tuesday or Wednesday works for me. It would be great if we can get a day/time that's good for Penny and 2JM since they missed the last one.

2JM-that's a good question, maturity means more than calendar years. There is another site:www.stickbow.com with state based (OK. for you) conference (bulletin board) sites as well as one called the leatherwall for traditional archers, longbows and recurve bows shooters and makers. The state conf would be a good place to post the request. There are a number of shoots around your part of the state. There is usually a childrens venue. You'll likely find a bit of help there, hope this helps. dvp

Hullo! Been pretty slow in this hobbit hole today. I have been puttering around the place and doing a little napping in between.

I find the archery points interesting osage, always glad to know you are lurking when a question about bows comes up!

Cold and windy here today. Too icky to be out. another weekend without getting to ride. I was promised spring after the long winter! I have been robbed! - Well, there is always next week. I did clean and tidy the barn, filled my new horse-proof feed bin and hung some new shelves for horse-towels and medicines and bandages and things. Over all, I give the day a C+

I was just looking at the maybe-Haldir pictures again. If it's raining at the Battle of Helm's deep, how do the orcs get the "Fire of Orthanc" to burn long enough to blow the walls?

guys' answer on Galadriel, but I think the whole thing about her seeing into everyone's mind would be intimidating for the guys. I bet that is why they don't go for her as much.

There is a lot of things about being attracted to a wearer of one of the Rings of Power to be intimidated about. Most guys don't want to end up like the Earl of Leicester, or especially his nephew the Earl of Essex, if you remember Elizabethan history.

Hi Hair! It finally cleared up over here. I did some more plant potting and tidied the Hole a bit, spoiled the cat, and goofed off a lot!

Come to Sunny Florida, bright Hot Sun, high in the low 90's, there are places that you and your horses can go for a swim, even together, both fresh and salt water. Mind the gators and the sharks though!

Or end up like Celeborn the slow "eight there are...[must not] yet nine there were...[think anything] set out from Rivendell...[that will put me ] tell me [out on the limb] where is Gandalf?" [again tonight]

I always thought the Fire of Orthanc was gunpowder. But if it were a metal like phosphorus, it would work in water.

I can build a fire in the rain. I camp in the Northwest. I am sure there is an orc that was a scout or something in their youth.

I think I know where to turn if I need help there!

Glad to be of service, I am strong on Rome from the time we have records, up through the Emperor Justinian, and have a basic familiarity with the remaininbg 900 years of Byzantine history. I am strongest from the time of the crisis of the Republic, starting mid 2nd century BC, through the Antonine Emperors (last two Marcus Aurelius and Commodus). Since I have been alive during more of recent history than you, and started becoming aware of Soviet leaders at the time of the death of Stalin, would be happy to discuss it in freepmail, if you would like?
