Good Morning!
It's supposed to rain all day here so I won't be able to get in the garden today. :( I'm never going to get the stupide thing planted! Oh well, now I don't have any excuse not to tidy up my Hole today.

Got it marked. About what time central? If it's too early, the kids will still be up, but that won't make any difference. I'll check them out a movie from the library.

Oddly enough I know exactly what you're talking about! That's scary.
Time... hmm, any time will work for me. I have a test at 8 on Wednesday morning, but it's a history final. I could bomb the test and get a B in that course. OR show up with fifteen minutes time left and ace it. So, time doesn't worry me, but really earlier is better... maybe 7 central?

Seven sounds good if it's ok with everyone else...
I don't think marijuana smokers are so bad. I'd rather take care of one of them than a drunk in the hospital. The biggest problem with pot smokers is that they just want to eat and laugh and they forget everything you tell them. But they're usually pretty easy to care for. A drunk, on the other hand, can be a dangerous thing. I have been nearly knocked unconscious by a 60 year old drunk when trying to start an IV. And I once took care of a drunk that nearly had his arm sliced off when he put his fist through his girlfriend's sliding glass door. (He was mad at her.) Drunks can be very violent.
Give a pot smoker a pizza and set the TV on something brainless and they don't give you any trouble. Just go in every few minutes and re-introduce yourself! LOL

Oh, what I meant by 'scary' is that I know what Blue's Clues is, who Steve is, that he was leaving, and that yes, he does seem like he's on something.
Hmmm... I wonder, if they ever legalized marijuana, would they let people use it at 18, like tobacco, or 21, like alcohol?
I need to go study math or something... just checked this online comic I've become addicted to and I think my favorite character just died.

It's a dreary day here too, OT. I imagine we won't get out into the yard today.
I think it's time to start the movie! Steve (my hubby, not the Blue's Clues guy) is at the library working on his last project with a group of classmates. He won't be long. Maybe he'll come home and make pancakes! He makes the best buttermilk pancakes. His late dad's recipe.

Another thing I've observed is that drunks seem to just want to get in the car and go somewhere. Ninety mile an hour, they gotta go somewhere. (I'm talking
Drunks, not the occassional white wine drinkers). Pot smokers don't seem to want to do anything. They'd just soon sit around.
The absolute worst to take care of are the prescription drug abusers. Every 15 minutes they're on the call light, asking "What can I have now?? What can I have???" Run you ragged.

I'm ready for second breakfast myself! Looks like a good day for baking only I didn't set the sponge last night. Oh well...I can set it tonight. In the meantime, I think I'll make pizza tonight!

That Whitehouse correspondant...what's his name? I don't know...he's big, got black hair that he combs over and he has a beard. He always has on a suit, but has a greasy look about him.
Anyway...
He just did a story about the teeball on the south lawn and it looked like he was sucking lemons. What a loser.
To: Overtaxed
Well, they just started doing a story about the C-word hosting some show and that was all I could stomach. Got THE Movie on now.

Actually I kinda wish that the evil one's husband had been doing a talk show back when the anthrax letters were being sent out. Might have given him a scare.
Good choice, the movie I mean. What are your boys doing while you watch it?

They're watching it too! They have certain parts that they can't watch...any decapitations or Boromir getting shot, for example. But they don't seem to mind. They just go in the hall and wait till I call them!

Sorry....been offline for a bit.
I don't watch talking heads much, they give me a headache! I was telling Penny last night that we need to get another view/chat session scheduled so that you, Penny, and LCS can join in.
Are the kids watching the movie too?

I finally got the trailer downloaded at home. (Yay! ;^) ) I found the part where I thought I saw Haldir. At about 2:17 - 2:19 into the trailer there is a scene with a bunch of guys with their bows drawn and Aragorn is in the midst of them. The archer closest to the screen, camera, whatever, is the one that looks like he could be Haldir.
Can any of you post a pic from there? I don't know how to pull a pic off of a Quicktime movie. Thanks.
BTW, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It's about 95 degrees here and we just got home from a wildlife sanctuary that was having special exhibits and stuff for the kids today.
I'll check back in later.

Hmmmm...I just tried to take a capture of that frame, which you are supposed to be able to do by pausing and then dragging and dropping onto your desktop, and it gave me an error message.
How annoying...I will keep trying and see what I can come up with...
To: ksen;Penny1
Is this the guy?
I can't tell if it's Haldir or not.
To: Overtaxed
That's the one I was trying to get, and I'm with you, I can't tell if it's Haldir or not. But....I don't recognize him as being anyone else--he's definitely not any of the other elves we've met so far.
Finally used the print-screen trick to get a still--don't know if this is any clearer, but it's bigger...
To: Penny1
I thought that Legolas was the only Elf at the Battle of Helm's Deep anyway.
To: Overtaxed
Yeah, in the book, but it's been pretty strongly rumored that PJ is deviating from the book on this point and bringing more elves to Helm's Deep for whatever reason.
To: Penny1
Snooty buttinsky Elf! It might be that we've got another "Arwen phenomenon" on our hands!
