Good morning everyone!
Boss is back in town, so I wanted to get in here and serve up breakfast in case things get too busy to post.
First, strong coffee, nice and hot!! Now, for food I have prepared some french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Made a ham, mushroom and cheese omelet as well. Fresh biscuits and hash browns too! Plenty of ice cold milk and orange juice if you like. ENJOY!
I realize we are approaching the end of the Hobbit Hole thread. :(
Does anyone know (with certainty) which post will be the last? Are the keywords relocating as well?
2JM - Love the images from the cards. Merry looks so sweet in that one of just his face. After watching the appendices on disc, I have a whole new respect for these actors and the hard work they put into the movie.
Rosie - welcome back! Prayers headed your way for a brand new job that allows as much internet time as mine does! :)
Has anyone heard from Corin yet? Is he back safely?

Good Morning! Cold here today. The leaves are off the trees. Frost on the window. Actually turned the heat on Saturday! Sigh! Winter is here!
I watched the whole movie on Saturday night. Comments to follow.
Have a great day!

What about "An Unexpected Party" as a name for the new thread?actually I like it...alot...
I like it too! A lot! This next thread ought to be something that would not only carry us over from the Two Towers but also ride us through to the ROTK...But "An Unexpected Party" would stay with the Tolkien theme, as would "A Long-Expected Party"...

Looking forward to your comments from your Saturday viewing...

Good Morning!
I don't think the new thread would carry us more than a year, this one is only 8 months old... and was begun long after the release of FoTR and the initial buzz about that.
The original hobbit hole was started in January. And between the two of them, carried us through the year of FoTR... So I would expect this one to be primarily covering the year of TTT.
That said, there are very few places in TTT that conjur up images of a place of hominess and comfort. We could either embrace that, and adopt a name that relates to TTT, or we could remain Hobbity and use a Hobbit Hole name again. Or a combination... I think we should keep the Hobbit Hole in the name, so folk know what it is! "The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Crossroads." or "The Hobbit Hole III - Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit."
We thought about The Unexpected Party and the Long-Expected Party last time around too. I liked them, but I am thinking "something TTT" now.

Last night I was showing Steve the LOTR tee-shirts I got when I ordered the original release and the extended release. I was just showing him that the white one was an extra large and that he would probably feel more comfortable in it, even though he'd probably like the charcoal colored one better. (It's just a large.)
He looked at them and then laid them on the dresser. I said "Oh, hang them back up, I want them to be nice for the party!"
I started helping him hang them up and he said "Is it ok if I go with you to that party?" I told him it depends.

Hey,
An Unexpected (or Long-Expected)Party sounds good to me too!
I think that we will fill up a second thread before ROTK comes out though. Between the movie release, the DVD release and the Extended Edition DVD release, then add in the superspam - we'll polish off another thread before ROTK even starts releasing TV trailers! LOL!

I like it too!
But it's not like it was actually unexpected or anything. :)

"The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Crossroads." Of all you mention...I like this one the best...
To: 2Jedismom
Yes, the stewed rabbit one does sound like a Guild thread. I don't want the thread to be about cooking!
To: 2Jedismom
Uh, what party?
Are you making him go to a line party in Oklahoma in December in a T-shirt? Brrrrrrrrrrr.....

LOL! Where did the conversation go after "it depends"?

I still like my recommendation in #42091:
"Party at Isengard, We got Gaffer's Homebrew on tap"...
To: ksen
ksen... as our host, it is worrisome for you to say, "what party?"
To: ksen
We wore shorts yesterday! It was absolutely beautiful!
I imagine (if he gets to go) that he'll wear a jacket!! LOL
To: RMDupree
...then add in the superspam....Um, what's that? :^|

I started helping him hang them up and he said "Is it ok if I go with you to that party?" I told him it depends. LOL! Mine too! Now that he is fully immersed in reading TTT, he is starting to get the LOTR bug BIG TIME! The name-calling (geek, nerd, addict, weirdo, etc) has virtually disappeared and he asked to see the TTT trailer on the DVD again (and pretended that he hadn't seen it yet, even though I told him that he had).
He's still in denial about his addiction, but I can see him starting to show the symptoms. BWAAAHAHAHA! *cackle*
Soon, he will be under the power of the Ring and will not hinder my journey to Entmoot.
