I'll check out the... normal easter egg when I watch the Extended Edition. Don't know when that will be; apparently I have to take sibs to Harry Potter Saturday.

To: 2Jedismom
LOL! I was yelling at the screen!
"PUT ON YOUR SHIRT, YOU IDIOT! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR BIRD CHEST!"
Now, if it had been Mel Gibson....:)

I am, indeed. They've got Kenneth Branagh! as 'Gilderoy Lockhart'. He alone should be worth the price of admission. And it's not great but for a Saturday event, it's not bad at all.

Get out! That is going to be great. Kenneth Branagh is one of my favorites. I have never recovered from his Henry V. Fantastic movie!

"Much Ado About Nothing" is my favorite Branagh movie, but Herny V comes close.

I don't think he was too mad. He was just tired. Went right to bed.

Sigh. Got back our tests just now... I made an 87 this time and it's still one of the highest. Nobody got an A on this test. I can make an A in the class, though, if I do well enough on the final.

I hate that... I hate the fact that no matter how well I do, the next test can sink me. There is no feeling of safety, no feeling that I've made it. I've finished one test, got an A... it's over, now I have to make an A on the next test or there goes my GPA.
Yikes... it's like always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
To: carton253
Yup. And there was one question that I thought was about integers, and answered correctly for integers, and it turned out to be floating point numbers. And another question I thought wasn't to be on the test. If it hadn't been for one or the other of those I'd have an A now.

Matthew just finished his last self-test in this Math lifepac...tomorrow he'll take his big test that covers the whole lifepac, you know? He's adding fractions, graphing, and doing money problems.
Listening to you talk about integers and such fills me with such hope.
To: 2Jedismom
He'll do well, I know it! One thing you can do to help him is put him in Saxon Math. Start with Saxon 54 - that's advanced 4th grade, typical 5th grade, and go from there. Saxon math was literally one of the best things that happened to me in my whole homeschooled experience. Also the lessons are really well spelled out. Even people with no math skills can learn - and if one of your boys happens to be a mathematical prodigy, he'll eat it up.
The only really important skills are reading and math. If you can do those well, you can learn or do anything you want.

And as soon as he finishes taking a spelling test, we're going to study a chicken farm in History/Geography! LOL Yesterday it was a dairy farm and the software had a really cool video about a dairy farm. He does "Switched-on Schoolhouse" for Science and History/Geography.
