Is anyone here out standing in their field?
To: Corin Stormhands
Okay... Gollum now fading back into lovable Smeagol. (And I was plotting something very delicious to add about my favorite dwarf)
Over at the Religious Wars... OP has unlaunched the famous Tyre/Sidon post...

I'm betting Hair comes back with the bookends...We have a Winner!
To: HairOfTheDog
I ordered the ones with the bookends... but the budget side of my brain took over... so, I cancelled it and ordered just your run of the mill...
Plop it in and tell us everything.
To: ksen
Ummm, what blip? I don't remember a blip, so I don't think I had it. That's good. Hopefully you would've noticed missing the gifts scene.

OP has unlaunched the famous Tyre/Sidon post... I just don't have it in me today.

Are you still awake. The last time I went to work with as little sleep as you did was election night 2000. Who would have thought that I wouldn't be able to sleep for the next 36 days!
If you want to share what you saw... you can freepmail me. I don't mind knowing head of time.
To: Corin Stormhands
You know... don't wander over there. Because, even though I have promised myself never to post there, if they start picking on you, I'm going to have to go Gollum on them.
It doesn't matter what you say anyway... they are so justified in their "rightness" they don't see the damage they do when they hack one another up.

I have only a vague idea, but it has to do with monitoring the environment for changes and such caused by polution, I think...but not always.
I think he's wanting to get a job making sure his company stays within EPA standards or something. I don't know too much, he just says that ES masters graduates find jobs pretty easily.

Hey 2J, never mind the Environmental Science question, you answered it later...
Guess what Susan came back with from Las Vegas? A tenor recorder for moi! And a soprano for Caroline, and something called a garklina (sp?) for herself (the highest range recorder). She's going to whip us into shape as a recorder consort. Says I'll be happier with the more mellow sound and range of the tenor recorder, and I think she's right. I'll have to get pictures and audio clips for you at a later date.... Thanks again for your inspiration....

ARRGHHHH!!!! A recorder???? You've gone over to the DARK SIDE!!!
To: HairOfTheDog
Are you watching it??? How are the bookends?
To: rightwingreligiousfanatic; 2Jedismom
I've been brushing up on the C whistle. I might actually spring for a low G in the near future.

And the last names I was called before I left was I was a sanctimonious, censorious, judgemental hypocrite.
Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a high-strung, slightly obsessive, opinionated, bossy Smeagol.

I don't know too much, he just says that ES masters graduates find jobs pretty easily.Maybe he can infiltrate a left wing think tank and sabotage their plans to inflict environmental fascism on the free citizens of a great but fading republic. Oh, wait a minute.... that would be a good plot for a NaNoWriMo thingie :^)
To: 2Jedismom
I'm not watching it yet! About to....
Just won the battle with the packaging from hell!
The book ends are neat! - Really heavy! Perfect for holding up my DVD collection!
To: 2Jedismom
Why is it the DARK side?
To: NewCenturions
Oh, come on - go into detail! Some of us are being 'good' (against our will!) and won't be getting the extended version right away. And I'd trust a true fan's review much more than a so-called "real" review.Ok, Ill spill a little of the beans. Nothing is different until Isildur gets ambushed by the orcs. When that happens he gets off his horse and puts the Ring on his finger. He disappears and you see the invisible Isildur (Just like you saw the invisible Frodo escaping from Boromir) head towards the river. He splashes into the river and the view switches to looking upwards from the river bottom. You see a confused Isildur because the Ring took that opportunity to slip from his finger, and you see it sinking away from Isildur. Isildur then gets filled with arrows and you see him floating down the river.
The whole opening Shire sequence is different. I like it a lot.
The one thing I didnt like was how PJ made Aragorn question his destiny even more. At one point he says he never desired to be king. I dont think the book Aragorn was that way, but it is a change I can live with.

Cool! And more Aragorn. Can't go wrong with that. Spill some more... if you want to.
