You are NOT going to trick me into typing his name, Jen!

No, NOT Yul Brenner.

Excellent, cuz I really need someone to tell me if they like where I'm going and what I might be doing wrong. That goes for anyone out there.

Hey there...

Yes... my break-in was really disturbing, being the first time that had happened to me. At first it was unnerving because I wasn't sure that they were gone.

The first thing I did was check the guns, and take one. The second thing I did was call 911 to get a sheriff on the way. The third thing I did was to sweep the house and make sure they were gone.

I would absolutely *not* have left the house. More to the point: The most overwhelming feeling was not so much fear as it was the cold offensiveness of some stranger having the *gall* to actually enter my house and pick through my stuff. It was a massive violation of "my space". The thing I wanted to do more than anything else was to defend my home-- even though it was after the fact. There was a twisted part of me that was even hoping that they would come back. I knew better, though. They were long gone.

It took the sheriff 20 minutes to get there.

Much better than...that little twerp.

Though, having seen "The King and I" approximately 200 times over the course of my lifetime, it's sometimes odd watching him in other roles!

I think it's odd watching him with hair like when he played Jen Lafitte (sp?)

Thanks for your help, both of you! I have already sent my character off into the night, but I still think maybe I shouldn't have. Seems kind of sissy, even if he DOES think his life might possibly be in danger. If I ever do a rewrite...(as opposed to burning this thing and deleting the evidence on December 1st...)
