g'nad - praying for your friend and his baby. Not just for the deliverance of health, but for the strength to allow the Lord to do His will while retaining their faith. It can be VERY difficult to do in times such as these.

OK - I think that's all for now. I loved the Pres press conference. He's really starting to get an idea on how to handle the liberal press-orcs. Treat them like your kids - love them, but set them straight when need be.

Wife is going to Greensboro (where her dad is) tomorrow instead of today. She stayed up most of the night doing grades for school and doing lesson plans for a sub if she needs one. My f-i-l is stable and awake.

Is it a coincedence that Jen named one of her characters Lord CALVIN?

Hi ksen. I've been watching you... did you get Lost Universe? I know you saw it...

And I did not name any of my characters after real people. The "silly" reason I named that character "Calvin" was because of "Calvin and Hobbes". The even sillier reason is because of a book I read about a guy named Calvin who ended up ruling an parallel universe. The silliest reason I'm not telling you.

I posted about my trip to Anime Pavilion a ways back. They had a LOT of DVD's. There were 6 of the "Lost Universe". I didn't see any "Escaflowne". The prices ranged from $25 - $30 with the majority being $30. I didn't buy any, but I know where to go now.

They had 3 or 4 episodes of a series you should pick up called "Those That Hunt Elves". ;^)

I didn't realize there was so much vampire related anime out there these days. Whatever happened to the good old-fashioned space opera animes?

They had 10 DVD's of "Urusei Yatsura". I was tempted to buy one. I was looking for "Nausicaa" as well because my wife and kids liked that one, ok, I did too.

They also had rentals available, but I didn't get any. This was more of a scouting trip.

Well, I gotta go. I found out at about 2 this afternoon that I was going to give the message at our Church's AWANA club meeting tonight.

I'm very excited. 68-69TonkinGulfYatchClub got me in touch with these guys and it's just going great. I got some really positive emails back from the publicity department for the unit and the chaplain also wrote me back and was most encouraging...he has 3 homeschooled kids himself!

No, you didn't offend me. I'm quite proud of my religious background but... I would not name that particular character for John Calvin.

As I may have mentioned, most of these worlds and characters that are showing up for a couple days have a lot more behind them than you get. For example, there's a whole (really bad) romantic piece about Empress whatshername. (She was originally named something else and got renamed for narrative purposes). Same with the world I was in yesterday and today (not posted yet). There's this whole history that's actually based on an unfinished story I wrote a few months ago. Most of the worlds I'm going to visit are like that; the next one is an exception, it's original to this piece

Now, anime; I like Vampire Princess Miyu but yeah, give me a space opera like Lost Universe any day.
