Prayers for your friend's baby, g'nad.

Well... they kinda go in order but the first few are kinda lame. I personally would start with
Guards Guards - you should pick up on everything, and the Night Watch sub-series is my personal favorite. (Rather than the Wizards sub-series, the Witches sub-series, or even the popular Death sub-series, which is my second favorite)
They're very amusing, in a British way, and quite irreverant. The author's a bit liberal... but what author isn't, these days?
Anyway, let's see. The "Night Watch" set goes Guards Guards, Men at Arms, Feet of Clay, Jingo, The Fifth Elephant and the latest one, Night Watch. The "Death" subseries is... let's see. Mort, Reaper Man, Soul Music, and Hogfather. Small Gods is a stand alone. That should get you started and you can figure it all out from there...

Good morning everyone! I've had a nice breakfast of fried eggs and strawberry muffins, with hot coffee. I've already cleaned the kitchen up (usually I'm a bit sluggish doing this in the morning and clean up breakfast at the same time I clean up after lunch.)

ksen - I haven't been here in a while. My it's grown.
RosieCotton and Overtaxed - so we have some more fantasy authors here on FR? That's great. Is there such a thing as a FR writers' circle? I'm a published author (by an out of business publisher, but the good news is that three books of my series have been picked up by NAL's Roc imprint...they do Turtledove, Stirling, Dennis McKiernan) and we might be able to help each other.

Good Morning! Almost time for lunch, here.

So, what does one do with a double major in history and political science... (I ask because those are my two majors... I haven't gotten them yet--still in the works)! :)

Hello! How do you get the plot to thicken?
Add cornstarch?.....Is it lunch yet?
To: JenB
Thanks Jen.
I'm off to grab some lunch and check out that Anime store I told you about the other day. Let's see "Lost Universe" and "Escaflowne"........

Almost time for lunch, here. And I'm hungry! This typing thing really takes it out of ya, ya know? ;-)
I still have over an hour to wait, though - I'm meeting Dad and the kids at Ben's sandwich shop, and Dad (being Dad) wanted to avoid any semblance of a crowd.
Just passed 10,000 words...

Greetings! Welcome (back?) to the Hobbit Hole - I've heard of your books but I've never read them. Vampires aren't really my cup of tea.... but I'll keep an eye out at the used bookstore now!

RosieCotton and Overtaxed - so we have some more fantasy authors here on FR?Well...ummm...I don't think I'd actually call myself an AUTHOR! We're just taking part in this challenge. It's somewhat fun, but I also know I'm not writing very good stuff, but I'm not supposed to care, so I'm annoyed for caring. Hence my venting all morning. ;-)
