I haven't read any crap yet. Hehehe....the joke's on you. I haven't posted any crap yet. :)
To: ksen
Umm.....other than normal Hobbit Hole chit chat, that is.

LOL!!!
I was thinkin' more along these lines... no use wastin' valuable space on an elf...
To: ksen
Ooh, that is cold! Bad Gondorian! Bad, bad, bad!

Umm.....other than normal Hobbit Hole chit chat, that is. I wish writing my story was as easy as gabbing here. ;-) I probably post almost enough words a day, right?
Clare is waking up in a depressed mood. Gee...why does that sound familiar?

Hey! Why the Elf bash? What have they ever done to you?
Morning all. Still gloating here. I'm doing some interesting stuff in today's chapter, I think. Probably intro another character or two. Maybe throw out some theories of everything. I'm not sure yet.

I haven't read any crap yet. I think you guys are being a bit too hard on yourselves. I don't agree!
But then, part of it is just that it's always hard getting a story out of your head and onto paper without it losing a great deal. Or at least, that's the way it works for me. I can get things going in my mind like watching a movie, but when I try to document scenes, they go flat. I can't describe every look, every tone of voice, describe people the way I see them...etc. I'm sure some writers can, but I'm a lousy writer!

Hey! Why the Elf bash? What have they ever done to you? To paraphrase Descartes - "I Elf-bash, therefore I am."

I love that portrait Sam!
You look like you grew right out of the earth!
Hullo! Good Morning!
To: JenB
Good morning, Jen! Nice to know that at least ONE of us NaNoWriMoers isn't up a stump or bummed. :-( (This is where, in the past, I usually quit writing.)
To: g'nad
How tragic g'nad...
Prayers for that little one!
To: RosieCotton
Don't quit, Rosie. Just do your best.
I've had practice "spinning" a story out. I went from writing five pages to writing a hundred in less than a year. The quality improved, too. Just... say what you want to say and who cares about the word count?

Forget about them and figure out what you want to do!

Incidentally is anyone here a Discworld fan? I read the latest one last night and it was pretty good. Another twenty books and they'll be approaching literary quality.

NaNoWriMo? Yeah...I want to finish sometime for once! I've attempted several times to write something longer than short story length, and each time I get disgusted with my own lack of talent and give up. THIS time, I want to reach a goal.
I'll probably turn around and be positive in a day or two, once I get to some more exciting parts and figure out more of the middle of the story. Just unhappy with the story right now. And don't want to go back and fix things until I reach the goal.

I want to finish sometime for once!Err...make that SOMETHING!
To: JenB
Incidentally is anyone here a Discworld fan? Do you have to read those in order, or are they stand-alone stories?
I saw some at the local library but I couldn't figure out which one was first and I have this thing about wanting to read things in order.

Smeagol is back after celebrating very hard the Republican victory... he has worn out his little voice singing Happy Days Are Here Again. He was singing the Streisand version, so talk about irony.
Any way, happy Thursday!
