Good morning all! Well, Jen, how was the birthday? How old did you turn? I used to look like a kid for so long that when I turned 30 I was was thrilled and went around telling everyone hoping I'd be taken seriously finally!

Someone told me the other day that if you can make it through the first 150 pages, or so, of The Silmarillion that it gets better.

That's what I was told, I haven't put it to the test yet. With this resurgent interest in all things Tolkien, I may have to give it a try this summer.

Concerning my heart monitor test...

It came back absolutely normal! Don't ask me how...my husband has felt (and heard with my stethescope) the irregular beat and the nurse actually felt it when she was taking my pulse during my last visit! But, the test came back as being absolutely normal. I will find out more on Monday when I go to the doctor for a follow-up.

I'm so confused. :-(

I'm beginning to wonder if the "irregular" beat I'm feeling is a beat at all...perhaps it's a valve or something doing something unusual. I have no idea. I nearly cried when the nurse told me it was normal.

Well, that stinks up your weekend, but talking to the Doctor is what you need to do before you panic. The nurse may just not have had all the info or may not have been able to explain things over the phone.
