You can say that again!
Many this site is slow... might as well get to work!
How's that
There you go!
Thanks! See if I can actually post something this time...FR hasn't worked well for me today...
I have a few leads already, but they aren't actual posted job openings just "so and so said that they may be looking..." type leads. Still, that's how I got my former job, so those aren't necessarily bad leads! I'm still working on my resume and haven't actually put any applications in anywhere, but I'll get there.
In the meantime, I'm thinking of doing some field trips that I've wanted to do forever but never could find the time. For example, there's a company in southern Vermont that builds mandolins, and I've always wanted to go check them out but never could before. Stuff like that. I know some people say I should be working full time finding a job, but I don't think I can MAKE it take that much time, and I can always do some stuff in the evenings (poking around the internet looking for job postings...), so my hours are flexible. ;-)
And I had a nice productive morning, both job research and working around the house. I'm proud of myself!
Aragorn with the reforged Narsil?
Sam and Frodo.....BUSTED!
Merry and Pippin think they see something.....
Final movie poster?
But, is it just me, or is anyone else bothered that Arwen keeps getting such terrific billing. Is she a main character? No... But her positioning in the poster gives her that. Above Aragorn, above Sam, Gimli, Legalos. Merry and Pippin didn't even make it. Neither did Theoden.
I know New Line wants to bring in the women, but for crying out loud. Maybe Liv had it in her contract... but the way she is positioned in the poster makes it look like she has the third lead in the movie. Even if I was going to expand her role, I couldn't think of enough things for Arwen to do to make her the third lead.
'Now for the other!' said Uglúk. Pippin saw him go to Merry, who was lying close by, and kick him. Merry groaned. Seizing him roughly Uglúk pulled him into a sitting position, and tore the bandage off his head. Then he smeared the wound with some dark stuff out of a small wooden box. Merry cried out and struggled wildly.
The Orcs clapped and hooted. 'Can't take his medicine,' they jeered. 'Doesn't know what's good for him. Ai! We shall have some fun later.'
But at the moment Uglúk was not engaged in sport. He needed speed and had to humour unwilling followers. He was healing Merry in orc-fashion; and his treatment worked swiftly. When he had forced a drink from his flask down the hobbit's throat, cut his leg-bonds, and dragged him to his feet, Merry stood up, looking pale but grim and defiant, and very much alive. The gash in his forehead gave him no more trouble, but he bore a brown scar to the end of his days.
I think those kind of leads are better than anything else.....
Typical.
