Teenage boys around 17 and up tend to be kind of rebellious and think their parents are "uncool." I wonder how that works in a homeschool vs regular high school.
Perhaps in a homeschool they would be easier to get along with, without the constant peer pressure and cuelty of that age group. Or would the homeschool be a nonstop battle?

I've probably heard it, but don't know it by name. My brother has at least one Lunasa CD and I've listened to all of 'em on-line, but I don't necessarily know tunes by name. They're coming to Lebanon, NH in February - I intend to go, if it's at all possible!

No, but he does play acoustic guitar, and has a pretty decent singing voiceHm...well, that might do!
Does he know any good hobbit songs? ;-)
By the way, for those of you who know the tune "Red Haired Boy", AKA "Little Beggerman", it fits the lyrics to Pippin's bath song nicely...

It sounded like Corin expected his relatives to be neighbors or something. Corin is apparently experiencing technical difficulties and having trouble expressing himself in written English this morning...

Did you get my gigantic email? It just finished sending here...I suspect your computer reached through the web and snatched it off mine...got tired of waiting, you know! LOL
To: Sam Cree
Or would the homeschool be a nonstop battle? Based on the last 24 hours in the Stormhands household, I don't think I should answer that. I walked in on a major battle last night and got into the thick of it (I do have that tendency you know...).
We've always said that Jr. and Mom don't have the temperment for homeschool. No scratch that. I've always said they'd kill each other...
Sigh...
To: 2Jedismom
It hasn't gotten here yet... Did you just now send it or should we be suspecting it didn't work?

Just popping back in to say hello!
I've been helping Luis Gonzalez cause trouble for the Dems on this other thread.
Illegal Dem Slate Card
The GOP Headquarters already called me back and requested the link. Sent it to them. Luis is ready to send them the original card too! Woo-hoo! Nothing better than cauding trouble for the RATS!!

And now Corin is talking about himself in the third person... which is sometimes a bad sign when I do it!

Seriously, though...it does seem like homeschoolers have a tendency to mature differently, plus relate to their parents differently. My brothers certainly disagreed with my parents plenty, but they mostly argued (loudly, but basically respectfully) rather than name calling or anything like that.

Hey Hair, did you know that you and I are bed wetting liberals? Don't tell the rest of the gang...(yeah NMGA really said that about us...)
In other "Breaking" news in the Stormhands household: Jr. has a "hand fracture" and had to have it re-set this morning (the Novacaine shots hurt worse than the resetting) otherwise he'd have a permanent "Spock" hand (Live Long and Prosper) thing going on. He's in the cast up almost to his elbow for three weeks and has to have no sports activity for three weeks after that...
Wife has filed a formal complaint with the league.
NOW, I have GOT to get out of here and get some work done. See y'all later...
To: HairOfTheDog
It's probaby still being processed through my server...keep an eye out. I'll send you a testing one too...just to see if they'll both go through...
To: Corin Stormhands; HairOfTheDog
Ugh...that thread is nuts!
What really ticked me off was the post to Hair saying some Destructor-like things about her having horses as a hobby instead of politics. What is with these people??
And hollering "FREE SPEECH!" is pretty amusing when they won't listen to any opinions but their own.

When I upgraded to XP, my downloaded music videos would not play correctly on Media Player. Then, I got a new video card (my previous one was from 1997!), and now the video plays great. You might have to either upgrade your OS, or you video card. But, I am no expert, so don't take my word for it.
To: Paul Atreides
Well my other DVD's play on the computer with no problem.....< /whine >
To: RosieCotton
Well, they have to do SOMETHING, when not picking fleas off of each other.
To: Overtaxed
I wish I could help you. I have never played DVD on my computer, so I am ignorant in that respect (no comment from anyone!). Is there anything about that particular DVD that is different from the rest, other than the obvious? Could it have some sort of copy-protection built into it?
To: Sam Cree
We also have a 23 year old son who just started law school this year.No kidding? Where did he end up going? Ours just turned 23, and is in his 5th and last yr. of college. He decided to change majors from History to English late last year, so he had to get the classes he'd need for the new major.
To: Overtaxed
It is curious that just this one won't play. Are there differences in DVD format?
