Yeah, but then we wouldn't have the fun of discussing it! So it's not all bad!
Well...I'll let you know how Rosie Lembas 1.1 comes out!
I have a 3 month old as well as the 5 year old and they both get bitten by mosquitos no matter what we do. Living in South Florida, those critters slip in every time you open a door or window!!
g'nite...I'll be out till the afternoon tomorrow...btw...missed you in the chat room last nite...again...
Well folks, I better get things wrapped up here and head home. Sorry again about the SPAM.
There's fried chicken on the table and buttermilk biscuits too! See you all tomorrow - stay safe.
Another precious is only 12 posts away! This announcement for informational purposes only. I will in no way try to get the aforementioned precious....
Yeah, I know what you mean, Hair. Some bash public schools to justify their decision to homeschool. I don't see why they can't just say "we're homeschooling because we think it is best for our child", and let it go at that. Some suburban schools are pretty good in the academic dept., but lots of folks don't like the social atmosphere.
We are homeschooling our younger two, but neither attended public school except for kindergarten. They were in Catholic schools until two years ago. It was a combination of the mediocre academics and stressful social atmosphere for our daughter that bumped us over the edge to homeschool. She was stone bored with her classes, and she had NO friends at school because none of the kids were into her interests; LoTR, anime, etc. The girls were into the clothes, the hair, the boys, the music, etc. and our daughter just couldn't be bothered with that stuff. Now that we're homeschooling, she has a group of also h/sed friends who ARE into those things, and has even joined an Anime Club at the local public high school (at least as long as they don't find out she's homeschooled, HA!)
I try not to bash the schools TOO much because there are some people who are just not able to homeschool, and there's no reason to make them feel guilty, or feel that they are not doing the best they can for their kids.
Okay, so Hair didn't say that, but didn't the rest of us?
Must....crawl.....back....to.....shell.....
