LOL...it's probably something the Croc Hunter created in his underground lair.

Did you believe OJ? No, but I was at a Super Bowl event for Jack Kemp and OJ (pre murder) was there (and Roger Staubach and Joe Namath...)

Lembas biscotti? No, more of a teacake. I made some once and my Daddy said they reminded him of cookies HIS Mama used to make. I found the recipe in my Mississippi Cookbook. I'll have to make them again and let the other Tolkien geek in the family give me her opinion.

I'm don't really WANT to lose my job, but if I did, it might be the start of something good, who knows? I'm sure there would be a reason for it, if you know what I mean.I've always said that when God closes the door, he opens a window!

One of the cookie recipes we used a lot was just called "Amish Church Cookies" in the cookbook. The main benefit of the recipe was that it made a TON, without the quadrupling we usually had to do. They were pretty plain - kind of creamy colored roll-out cookies with just a hint of flavoring, though we usually used lemon rather than almond as Mom couldn't STAND almond. Those might work, I would think, as ONE variation on the theme. They were more of a tea biscuit (meaning biscuit in the British sense) than a normal cookie.

Sounds perfect for the 'baby g'nad', doesn't it? Yep, it does. When I heard this particular tune, I thought of Baby g'nad right away! It's why I posted it.
I can't listen to this CD without getting choked up. I remember playing it and rocking my little Joshua when he was so tiny...
By the way, he's eating like a horse today. The doctor gave both boys an allergy medication Zyrtec...hopefully that will make them both feel not so stuffy!

By the way, he's eating like a horse today Good news 2JM...glad to hear "theboyz" are feeling better... nothing quite as depressing as a sick kid...

...hopefully that will make them both feel not so stuffy! Sent Corin Jr. to school today with a 100.6 fever...gave him some Ibuprofen and said "deal with it." Baaad parent, baaaad baaaad parent...
But he's still behind from being out with his ankle, plus he didn't want to miss a pep rally today (band got to play). He's home now with. Temp is 101. We're not going to choir practice/youth group tonite...

RAISINS???? Ew! No self respecting lembas baker would use raisins or granola, surely!Definitely NOT raisins, but I do wonder if they were a 'whole grain' food or if the elves only used the creamy unbleached flour.

To: SuziQ
And do they use refined sugar? Or something like honey?

but I do wonder if they were a 'whole grain' food or if the elves only used the creamy unbleached flour... The look on Elrond's face tells you they weren't getting enough whole grains...

It's going to take a lot of self-control to keep from starting my experimentation tonight...
Then again, why not? Why shouldn't I?
