Hm...I think I can guess where you're looking. Bad bear! Bad!
She IS...erm...well endowed, though, no?
To: Corin Stormhands
Destructor shaves his feet... Is that an insult?
In any case, I thought we'd decided he wasn't old enough to shave. ;-)

Is that an insult? I hope so...

Here's something I found for Lembas:
Ingredients
6 TBSP butter or margarine, slightly softened
2 cups self-rising flour
1 TBSP granulated sugar
1/2 cup raisins/rolled oats/granola (optional)
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup milk
4 TBSP heavy cream
Mallorn leaves
With a pastry blender or fork, cut margarine into the flour in a mixing bowl until the mixture resembles cornmeal. Do this rapidly so the butter does not melt. Add the sugar, and if desired, 1/2 cup of raisins/rolled oats/granola. In a small bowl, beat the egg and milk together until mixed. Reserve 1 TBSP of this mixture to brush the tops of the lembas. Add the cream and egg mixture to the flour and mix just until combined into a stiff, soft dough. Knead three or four times on a lightly floured surface. Roll dough to a 3/4" thickness and cut with an oval or leaf shaped cookie cutter. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet, leaving 1" of space between lembas. Brush the tops of the lembas with the reserved egg-milk mixture. Bake for 12 -13 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven.
For safe keeping, wrap each lemba individually in a fresh, clean mallorn leaf. If these leaves are unavailable in your area, store the lembas in a tightly closed container. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen lembas

RAISINS???? Ew! No self respecting lembas baker would use raisins or granola, surely!

Good morning everyone...
Thanks for the breakfast, RM! That sounded delicious!
Bad bear! Bad!
Y'all probably won't be surprised to learn that I hear that a lot at home...
And actually, the possible hairiness of Hobbit-lass feet is something I had thought about before... isn't it interesting that we see plenty of Hobbit-lad feet, but no lass feet, in the movie....

Hey, don't shoot the messenger! LOL

Foot stubble?
New keyword, perhaps? LOL

And actually, the possible hairiness of Hobbit-lass feet is something I had thought about before... Well...I'd thought of THAT, but not of the shaving question...it's not something I think about that in-depth, I guess!

Mornin' Bear! How's my Beorning friend today?
love your sense of humor, Bear...I think we appreciate each other...GMTA...
And actually, the possible hairiness of Hobbit-lass feet is something I had thought about before...
I...never mind...

Civilized American Hobbitesses shave their feet, it is only their uncouth European cousins that "let their hair down" so to speak.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger!Sorry...;-)
The rest of the recipe sounds interesting, though. I may do some experimenting at home. I don't know if I'd start with this or just try on my own, though...I like working without a recipe, but the problem is keeping track of what I'm doing just in case it comes out right and I want to repeat it later on!

Civilized American Hobbitesses shave their feet, it is only their uncouth European cousins that "let their hair down" so to speak. I dunno...seems like to a hobbit, hairy feet would be attractive. I could see them shaving their legs but leaving the feet...
Did I mention yet that I can't believe I'm discussing this??
To: RosieCotton
I agree with you on everything!
Including the fact that I brought this up! Why? LOL!
To: RosieCotton
RAISINS???? Ew! No self respecting lembas baker would use raisins or granola... gotta keep the elves regular...these two look a little constipated...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Feet are located at the end of the legs! :)
To: ksen
LOL! Very true! Her feet have that 6 o'clock shadow look, don't they?
To: RosieCotton; All
I hadn't thought of the shaving aspect either! I thought it was an interesting thought-experiment on differing concepts of beauty among non-humans, though... what would Elves consider exceptionally beautiful, for instance? Do Orcs have the concept of beauty?
To: RosieCotton
Maybe they braid it?

Thanks for the recipe Seamus!
I've got to copy it down and give it a try. I'll let you know the results.
