That's how it is in Texas... Travis county, where Austin is, has very strict rules on purchasing and using fireworks. In Williamson county, just north of Travis, almost anything goes. So, the place to find fireworks stores is just across the county line, on the Williamson side...
Fireworks are illegal in our county. And I'm not to prone to set them off around the boys anyway. But for a pool event this summer I drove across the county line to the fireworks store because I couldn't find sparklers anywhere nearby.
Here I am in the fireworks superstore. People are buying hundreds of dollars worth of elaborate fireworks.
I'm standing in line with five packs of sparklers...
I felt a little elfish...
Sounds like fun to me, though I'll have to do a bunch of experimenting between now and then to try to come up with something that at least somewhat resembles how I imagine it.
How come there wasn't any lembas in the movie?
For the bumper crop I was looking into making a pepper oil. Unfortunately unless I used a commercial cold pack method, all I'd be doing is grow a big botulin culture. So I settled for pepper vinegar instead.
Bottles would be preferred (if they had small ones, but cans might travel better. For supply...let's see...one every hour on the hour, and we'll me there for about two or three days, so that makes...
Just kidding! Seriously, I'd be happy (and would happily pay you for 'em) if you found room for one or two cans amongst your stuff...just wish it wasn't so darn hard to get here!
I had a very productive lunch break! I love it when that happens...got a whole load of laundry folded, another moved into the dryer, and a sort of bulky blanket loaded in as the next load...plus started my bathroom remodeling. ;-) Sort of, anyway. There was a horrible deep pile brown carpet in there, and when I'd peeked underneath a few days ago, I found linoleum or vinyl that had just been carpeted over. So I yanked the carpet out. I need to mop the linoleum before I know how well I've made out, but at least it's cleanable! And the carpet was nasty. Really nasty.
Won't be long, either - it was 20 degrees out there this morning! Brrrr...
That's just wrong....
That's what my dog said, too, or would have. She does NOT like cold! It's really sad in the coldest part of the winter...she is a little actress (if she gets the tiniest bump she'll cry and cry as long as we're paying attention!), so I don't think it's as bad as she makes out, but when it's below zero, she'll hold up her paws one by one and whimper until someone picks her up. Big baby!
Yeah, those towel mats work good. I haven't ever seen them at a store, though, so far as I can remember. Considering that no matter WHAT I do, any soft surface ends up with cat hair on it, that might be the way to go for me, too, if I can find 'em. The carpet type ones pick up hair like CRAZY, and though some of them are machine washable, they aren't easy to wash.
Anyway, I just rotate them through...I probably change them every couple of days. After everyone takes a bath, I pick it up, fold it in two and drap it over the edge of the tub to dry. Then when I think about it or notice it, I get out another and drop the used one in the laundry.
As a matter of fact, here is a picture of it! (You can even tell it's a little damp still, I think.)
I just love this digital camera! LOL
Maybe at Penney's...our Sears is a catalog outlet, for the most part. They sell some electronics and power equipment, but nothing else. Penney's has just clothes, and a very small selection of bed and bath stuff, but mostly they're a catalog outlet, too. I.e. you order stuff there and then go pick it up. Rural r Us!
I can check during my lunch break tomorrow, maybe!
It's when you put a modifier between the "to" and the verb in an infinitive.
Famouse split infinitive: "to boldly go where no man has gone before."
Should be: "to go boldly where no man has gone before."
