Hey! My six-year-old noticed something in the movie that I had not noticed! I thought when the Black Rider is asking Farmer Maggot about "Shire, Baggins" that there was only one Black Rider. Matthew kept insisting that there was at least two. So we were just watching it and he says "See! There are two shadows that go by on Farmer Maggot's house!" So I ran it back and sure enough! There are at least two shadows that go by after the Black Rider takes off...maybe even three!
I'll say! I patted my little expert on the back and said "Sharp eyes, son!"

Yes, there are several Riders there. I thought we'd discussed this before?
Hope the tadpole thing went ok. Tadpole burial? My one sister has hamsters; she's been keeping them for about five years and has been through, oh, a dozen of the creatures. One got cancer, two got eaten, others just died... she's broken up every time but gets new ones anyway. I doubt tadpoles are quite as traumatic an experience - but I could be wrong, what do I know?

So are we ready for another chat/viewing session? :)
To: Overtaxed
Sure! Probably that would work tonight - I'm not completely sure, though. Tomorrow night is out for me but Friday is possible.

Maybe we should wait for a sign from the left coast crowd. Or should we make this an east coast/central time zone thing?

Yes, there are several Riders there. I thought we'd discussed this before? Hey! I do my best to keep up but I'm elderly, remember! LOL
I have church tonight...I could do it but it would have to be really late...I won't be home till about 8:30pm central time. And that's if the java will work.

That reminds me of a story from the book Christy (wonderful book, by the way). Takes place in the Smokey Mountains around the turn of the century.
Creed's (a little boy of about 10) favorite hunting dog died. Creed was all upset and asked Christy (she was the school teacher/missionary) if dogs went to heaven. She replied sure. Well, a couple of days later, Creed put his head down on his desk and began to wail. Christy asked him what the trouble was. Well, Creed's dog hadn't gone to heaven yet.
"How do you know, Creed?" Christy asked. (paraphasing)
Creed replied that he didn't believe Christy about the heaven part, so when he buried the dog, he buried him with his tail sticking out of the "buryin' hole." On the way to school, Creed checked the grave and found the tail still sticking out of the grave.
As soon as school was out, Christy sent word to the Allens to bury the dog correctly... Next day, no tail, and one happy Creed.

I get better connections later in the evening.

Hmm, that's too late for me - I have to get up early tomorrow and should be in bed before midnight. Friday? Or next week sometime?

So are we ready for another chat/viewing session? For the uninitiated, how exactly does the "viewing" part work?
To: Corin Stormhands
Ummm....some of us are naughty hobbits and have uh.."unofficial" copies of the movie. I'm a very baaaad hobbit
To: Overtaxed
Oh, one of my most favorite parts just went by! It's where Aragorn and Boromir are standing there and Legolas says "Crebain from Dunland!" Then Aragorn just
bellows "HIDE!" and it sounds so intense! I just love it!

I have to say (if I haven't already, but I'm sure I have) that this is the best movie I have ever seen in my life.
(Only an hour and half more of this plague of a monitor!)
