No one with a pretentious name like Chancelor Palpatine would be prone to elf-bash! Seems to me that's just the type to really get into a good elf bash!
To: Overtaxed
We'll just have to see about that!

I have been cleaning house like crazy...
I have the soundtrack playing while I work, and I must admit, it gives me pause to scrub to the Treason at Isenguard... For a minute I feel that I have become a slave to the machine!
Dom-Dom-Dom-Dom-Dom-Dom- Duh!-dut!-dut!-duh!-dah!... and I must go sit down till it passes!

Well, I just got in from the Scottish Games. It was a whole lot of fun. I heard a Celtic group and the lady in the group played a mean whistle!
While I was there, a guy came up to me and said "Are you Kim?" and I said yes and found out he knew me from Chiff and Fipple and now my egroup that I started. He lives here in Tulsa and I'd talked to him before, but never met.
Then, I walked by a booth that had a guy standing there playing a beautiful tune on a Feadóg just like mine. There was a great big pile of them right there for sale. The guy had drawn quite a crowd and I showed him mine. He said "You up for a duet?" So I played Amazing Grace and he played the harmony. Afterward, a couple of people bought the whistles and about half a dozen were checking them out seriously. My mom said the booth owner was standing in the back just grinning!
It was a hot day and I ended up eating a meat pie that made me sick. Sigh.

Must I smite you? Elves smite like little girls!

I didn't but the guy might have...I think he was there to draw a crowd. Then up walks this slightly pudgy housewife with a well-worn Feadóg and toots out Amazing Grace duet it's nothing. The booth owner couldn't believe his luck!

Amazing Grace duet like it's nothing.

Hmmm... well, there are many who would disagree with you.
