Uhmm, that would depend on a number of factors, including what type of system you're running (processor speed and memory especially) and what version of Windows you're running.

Plus, I'm not the right person to ask, since I refuse to use Internet Explorer. :) But I'm pinging Rose to this, since she knows more Windows stuff than I do!

heh heh heh, it was Sam who couldn't remember her outfit... I remembered it perfectly well! But, I couldn't find a pic on the web to link to, so thank both of you for posting pics!

Especially the Lego(tm) pic, Hair! :)

She looks pretty Ok in that. Though I'm not sure what an overgrown caterpillar would see in a human female.

I have 128 mgs. of RAM, win 98 and don't remember the rest and am too tired to figure it out. It's a decent computer, though.

I'm not sure what an overgrown caterpillar would see in a human female.

I believe that it was a reference to the covers of pulp science fiction magazines up until the middle 1950's, in which a favorite theme was some sort or other of Bug Eyed Monster (BEM) depicted ogling a scantily dressed human female. I never understood what they were supposed to DO with her, because of physical incompatibilities. Then, in the 1990's, we got our own BEM residing in the White House!

Well, the Monday night game is almost over and I'm up way past my bedtime, so I'm calling it a night.

Good night all!

Good morning all,

"End of the Hunt," watercolor, Winslow Homer, 1892

Looks like they're gutting it from inside the boat, which will probably need a good cleanup then.

"a favorite theme was some sort or other of Bug Eyed Monster (BEM) "

What a delightful expression, BEM. Although I figure it to be overly kind for the previous occupant of the White House.

I guess it could be applied also to some of the ruder folks that get on FR

I posted this thought elsewhere and wanted to get your take on it as well:

Yesterday I brought our Survey Chief to pick up a new truck we had bought. On the way to the dealership we talked about what we were doing on 9-11-02.

I told him that our church was having a free dinner for the local emergency workers in our area followed by a prayer service. He told me that he had heard President Bush ask that churches and such NOT hold special services Wednesday night.

Why do you think that is? I have a sneaking suspicion, if W. actually made that request, that we may be hip deep in Iraq by tomorrow night.

Thoughts?

Morning, ksen.

Maybe he just wants us to keep going and not let the thing drive us into perpetual mourning? I remember his dad being interviewed from a golf cart during the Gulf War, to show that we were strong enough to let life go on, even play golf, while went after him.
