Yep. Maybe it was a weekend thing. I'll see if I can get the plug-in to download again.

Worth a shot. I suppose if all else failed you COULD uninstall RealPlayer and reinstall it, but that would be a real pain in the rear (no pun intended).

Hm...my brother responded thusly when I told him about the Green Linnet sale on Friday: "Well, la de da. I'm not really as interested in Irish music, although I do like some of it."

However, over the weekend he met a girl who he says is a fantastic tin whistle player, and he wrote me again to ask which CDs he should get, as he wants to get more into Irish music. I wonder which got him interested, the girl or the tin whistle?

I had the funniest print on the cover of Ingles ROTK discs I checked out from the library. It's by sombody named Rowena Morrill and is called The Last Steward of Gondor. You can view it here:

http://www.nightrunner.com/gallery/html/artists/Rowena_Morrill_106_0.html

I think it's hysterically funny. Looks like Morgan Fairchild was in attendance. And is that supposed to be Arwen with the crown on? Somebody needs to shout "Mind the boobs!!!" to her, they look like they are fixin' to fall out.

One of the other pictures is called Beren and Luthien and it seems that Luthien didn't mind donning a bikini top, but might possibly have neglected the bottoms! LOL Beren looks...well, he certainly looks interested.

ROFLOL!

Matthew is at his music co-op and Joshua is down for a nap. I'm going to take this opportunity to eat lunch.

Well, the artist sure likes nice bodies... Have to admit she put nice legs on the men, though pants may have been more practical.

I don't mind them...cough, cough...uh...excuse me, I was distracted for a minute.

Are those the girls from "Petticoat Junction?" The picture looks like a prom mural...

Snowpants are always a practical choice.

The Last Steward of Gondor

The chicks are not so bad, but did you check out the chain mail on that guy? Is that supposed to be Aragorn accepting the sceptre from Faramir, who would have been the Last Steward after Denethor? If so, as my Daddy would have said, "he's a little too far down into that chain mail". If he bent over, he'd give the people of Minas Tirith a peep show!

Isn't it funny to see how different artists interpret the material?

I thought the Luthien in her picture had nice legs and a nice... uhm... but then, she was known for being a dancer, so that makes sense I guess.

Am I getting myself in trouble again?

Cute Balrogs? - Can't really say! - Has this artist drawn one? I am sure her Balrog would be quite buff! - Did you see the arms on that dragon?

Oh dear... first the Williams Sisters and now this... I guess I seem quite the sexist, don't I?

I'm not, really.

I'd call it "healthy appreciation."

Speaking of healthy appreciation for beautiful thngs! If I can inject some "reality" ;~D TORN has some new TTT pics up here: TheOneRing.net™ | Amazing TTT Pictures!!

BUT I would recommend you don't go there unless you have patience, and lots of it. Their server is absolutely c r a w l i n g ! (they need to do something about that!)

I loaded some select images to York for your perusal:

This is apparently Aragorn fighting a "warg-riding orc":

And this is Smeagol and Deagol:

Interesting pics! Is that Wormtongue gone fishing in the last one?

I know "Shadowfax" has been talked about, but has anything been said about the other horses used? Legolas' and Aragorn's horses in pic 2 seem very sturdy... broad chests and thick necks, almost more like draft horses than riding horses. Although I'm not a horse person, so I may be seeing things.

That is Smeagol and Deagol! (I did caption it....) hehehhe

They aren't draft horses, they are riding horses, but you are right that they are not light Arabian in type. They are standing in a position that would make them look the most blocky, with their heads up.

All I know of the other horses is that Viggo got very attached to his and bought it. (he apparently also bought a young girl, according to the writing in the story ;~D)

More on Viggo Mortensen and his Horse - Xoanon @ 10:47 EST
After the principle filming wrapped for Lord Of The Rings, Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) travelled to a farm in Northland. The farm had been "taken over" by the production so they could do all the horsey things they needed to do for the film. Apparently Viggo turned up in a limousine dressed in boots with a full length weathered coat and scraggly long hair. With him was the girl who had been hired to tend his horse; the one he had primarily ridden in the film. He then proceeded to negotiate a price for the horse and also one for the girl. I do not know the price but it was quite a princely sum. The intention was for her to travel to the states to continue caring for the horse.

Attached is 4 pictures of the horse ridden at a horse trial by one of NZ's foremost show riders.
