Some of them might. My comp sci professor's a really nice guy, young, excited - I think he's going to be a lot of help getting me into a good school.
Hey, there are many reasons I went into CS - one is the huge field of geeky guys who see anything female as A. dateable and B. goddess material...

Chuck should have just ditched.

Where's the race tonight?

one is the huge field of geeky guys who see anything female as A. dateable and B. goddess material... So you're just in it for the guys?
You're just as bad as Hair!

Richmond....where Corin is. Around 55 laps to go.

I was not after the precious, per se, only saving Corin's soul from depravity. I am a hero, really, keeping the precious from him for at least a little while! Sheesh! You're sounding like Elrond...

Sheesh! You're sounding like Elrond... Those elves are good at rationalizing their actions.

Well, that's what I thought when I got in. Then I discovered that in computer science, most of the men resemble either "weeble-wobble" toys, or pencils. The few handsome ones don't notice you exist because they're drooling over your computer. But hey... it's nice to be treated like a lady.

Have I mentioned my wife was one of the first women to graduate with a CS degree from her university? That was a while ago, of course....
Speaking as a geeky guy, we're generally ok, as long as you understand our quirks (obsessive Monty Python quoting, addiction to SF/Fantasy/Gaming, etc.) I have a feeling you probably got a handle on those already...

Since I'm of both English and Scandinavian heritage (not to mention other things) I guess I'm going to have to sue myself. Think of how I feel being English, Cherokee and French, and while I haven't found it, there's some speculation that there's some slave blood in there.
I hope I don't have to pay myself more than I'm entitled too...

Richmond....where Corin is. But Corin is safely tucked away on the other side of town. They were estimating 100,000 people to be there. My brother and his wife are probably there.

Think of how I feel being English, Cherokee and French, Did the saracens ever make it into the Rhineland? I don't really think so, but then I don't know everything about history.
Where's LCS when you need him?
To: Corin Stormhands
Think of how I feel being English, Cherokee and FrenchGood thing it's not the the 1700's, you'd be at war with yourself.

Chuck should have just ditched.Chuck always dies...
We've gone from watching Midway to watching Iron Chef... ow, cultural whiplash!
To: Overtaxed
I don't think the Saracens got that far up. They got turned around at Poitiers, and not much farther than the Byzantine Empire, on the other side...

What's the ingredient?
To: JenB
That's pretty much what I thought. Haven't had history since college and I don't as a rule make a study of it like LCS.
That means I won't be suing myself. :)

It's the Matsutake Mushroom battle, with Iron Chef Sakai.
To: Overtaxed; JenB
Well, you've both stumped me.
That's the problem with Virginia schools when I was growing up. One year you'd study Virginia History, so you'd cover from Jamestown up until about the Civil War (and cover the next hundred years in the last week). Then the next year you'd study American History and start with Jamestown and cover up until about the Civil War, (and cover the next hundred years in the last week).
That's why the early 1900s fascinates me. And that's why I stay constantly behind on world history...

Does he win this one?
My sister has that Iron Chef book....it says that Iron Chef Chen had the most losses.
