Did you ever get your Two Towers back? Did you see Merry and Pippin on the front?

Yes! They are so subtle you really have to be looking for them. Thanks for pointing them out - I never would have seen them otherwise.

Oh I'm so glad! You are the only other person I know that's seen them!

I think the one crawling is Pippin and the one lying face down is Merry, because Merry was worse off than Pip at first. I'd love a big print of that picture.

Do you think that tall, green thin tree is Treebeard? If you look at his bark, you can just make out two eyes and a nose and mouth. He looks rather startled, just like the Treebeard in the preview!

I've never been able to find one online that you could see the Merry and Pippin in...they are really really tiny and blend in with the surroundings.

Ecurb, do you think you could scan that cover, enlarge it a little and "highlight" Merry and Pippin?

I don't have a flatbed scanner (just a photo scanner), but I'll scrounge and see if I can find someone with one.

I downloaded it, but have only played with it for about two minutes... so far it is confusing me, but it looks like the ticket once I figure it out.

It took me a bit to figure it out too because when I first opened the file it gave me an error message, and then it looked like it was blank. But if you slide the slider, and also you can use your arrow keys, it moves through the file. One of the drop-down menus gives you a list of commands on how to move through the file. And another drop-down menu gives you the option to "copy input frame to clipboard" or something like that. Then you have to have somewhere to paste it, I think, so paste it into whatever photo-editing software you have.

Careful, though, it is very, very hard to stop once you figure out how to do it. I was up till 4 am playing, lol...

I have the feeling that I will not be getting any sleep tonight. I watched part of it last night, and picked a few shots I really want to capture. I need to do something more with my trailer page, so this may be the ticket.

Yes, whenever I want to dedicate a day to it, it would be nice to convert my screensaver images over to nice matching same-size images.

Yes, it really is cool, plus there are many shots from whole chunks of the movie that no one seems to have bothered to make stills of that I really want in my screensaver.
