All right! I have excuses for both of my main vices - chocolate AND coffee! My day is now COMPLETE...
To: Overtaxed
Coffee Antioxidants You are just a fountain of information this morning! I used to write for Suite101.com until they stopped paying and made it on an ad revenue basis.
To: HairOfTheDog
I would go see that if they came near! So would I, but this week I've been trying to win Elton John tickets...

Coffee makes me cheerful and perky ... that is a health benefit!I work with at least a few people for whom the lack of coffee is a health hazard...for the rest of us! I'm pretty much a morning person no matter what, but some people you just don't even approach until they've had that first cup.
To: Corin Stormhands
That would be cool... Good luck!
To: RosieCotton
I am a morning person too... not crabby in the morning! - But need coffee to appreciate all my senses!
Before coffee, my eyes keep going into screen-saver...

So would I, but this week I've been trying to win Elton John tickets...You can win a pair of tickets for the floor here for only $405.00 each.

Hey Beer has anti....whatever, too...at least...I think I read that somewhere...either way, beer is natures perfect food...
To: ksen
You can win a pair of tickets for the floor here for only $405.00 each. Shouldn't it be rather obvious to you that's why we're trying to win the tickets?
The most we've ever paid for tickets to anything was $150 each for tickets to the George Bush Inaugural Ball in 1989.

You know... it is funny.... All this talk of antioxidants, like they are the latest greatest thing, and I have NEVER been curious enough to find out what antioxidants do and why I want them.

...why I want them... Silly hobbit! You want them because they're found in chocolate, coffee and beer...
To: Corin Stormhands
Wow.... that does sound like a show if folk are scalping tickets at that price!
To: Corin Stormhands
Thank you for filling in that last gap for me Corin. I get it now!
To: Corin Stormhands
You are just a fountain of information this morning! I used to borrow a co-worker's lab nerd magazines at my last gig. Just don't ask how they used to decaffeinate coffee....you don't want to know!
To: Overtaxed
Say OT! - How did they use to decaffeinate coffee?
To: ksen
You can win a pair of tickets for the floor here for only $405.00 each.Yikes! Makes me glad I mostly like rather obscure musicians! The most I've ever spent for a concert was $35 for a solo concert by Anthony Kearns (of the Irish Tenors)!

Wow.... that does sound like a show if folk are scalping tickets at that price! Yeah, I don't know how sales are going, but the listed price only goes up to $59.95...(we're not paying that either)
To: Sam Cree
Well, that's a nice thing to say! I've always liked to look at her pictures. Typical "40s" pictures...
I wish I had a chance to meet her.
To: Overtaxed
Just don't ask how they used to decaffeinate coffee....you don't want to know! Actually I don't need to know! Or do I?
To: RosieCotton
The most I've ever spent for a concert was $35 for a solo concert by Anthony Kearns (of the Irish Tenors)! We don't hit a lot of the concerts either. Off the top of my head I can't think of anyone we'd have to see if they came to town. A few years back I took the Mrs. to hear Itzak Perlman for Mother's Day. I was appalled that the theater wasn't packed.
