I called my local Blockbuster to see if they will be open late on Monday night/Tuesday morning and the guy on the phone said no.
I think I may have to have a yearning to rent a movie at 11:45pm on that night. I figure if I am in the store at closing time that maybe I can get them to give me my DVD on the way out. I may have to borrow one of g'nad's axes.

Good morning! Perfect timing! Congratulations!
And you thought you wouldn't be here in time!

I'll think about it...seriously...is it a drama or just a concert? It's a fairly elaborate theatrical production. It's hard for people to believe but it's Broadway quality. We build in the sanctuary a Broadway sound stage. Counting our kids choir and our youth choir we usually have a cast of about 400 people with more than 100 behind the scences (tech crew, house, orchestra, etc.). It's one of the things that drew us to the church. The story starts out somewhere in "modern" times and transforms to tell the Christmas story, complete with camels, sheep and more...
We do about 19 sold out public performances for about 25,000 people.

Funny names in this area... I just got an email from a fellow whistle player last name of Standing-bear. And my mom was telling me yesterday about a fellow church member who had a heart attack...named Shaking-gourd.

it's kinda hard for someone to tell you "no" when they're gasping for air... Well, that kinda crossed my mind. Corin Jr. wants to be at Blockbuster when they open on Tuesday.

Good Morning everyone! Wake up and smell the coffee! I was up way too late last night...is it 5:00 yet?

Congrats on getting the semi-precious! Thanks. Makes up for my day yesterday...server crashing, and someone side-swiped our van in a parking lot. Of course, the IDIOTS didn't bother to tell us.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Morning! Yeah, that was a lucky grab.

Funny names in this areaIndian, pardon me, Native American. Oklahoma was the end of the Trail of Tears, so there are a lot of reservations there.
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Yes. I met a girl once whose last name was "Dear in Water".

I was planning to pick up the DVD Tuesday morning, after driving Rose to work... but now it looks like I'll be working too, and won't have time to get it until Tuesday night. Reading about the apparently high demand for the video, I'm afraid it will be sold out by Tuesday night... so thinking seriously about making a midnight run (W*lm*rt is open all night long...)

Indian, pardon me, Native American. In Virginia, the preferred term (by the tribes themselves) is "American Indian."

W*lm*rt... Hey, Mrs. Stormhands works at Wal-Mart and we're not afraid to say it! She works nights on weekends in the accounting office and it's allowed us to keep Corin,III out of daycare. He'll be in part-time care when she starts teaching in September. But we'll have our weekends back.
People can say what they want, Wal-Mart has been good to the Stormhands family.

I was thinking of "dirty" words, hehehehe
I don't mind the store really... usually stop there once a week to get some things they have that I can't find elsewhere. Or at least, not as cheaply as I can find them elsewhere.
To: Corin Stormhands
the preferred termTrying to keep up with the latest in PC can be very confusing.

Hey, Mrs. Stormhands works at Wal-Mart and we're not afraid to say it!Uh oh... I hope I didn't accidently start a flame war or anything...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Uh oh... I hope I didn't accidently start a flame war or anything... Nah. We're not like emotionally attached or anything, but Wal-Mart gets a lot of grief they really don't deserve. And that's as high up on the soapbox as I want to get...
