Speaking of which....isn't it time to start the reading/discussion of TTT? Hint hint hint
YUP. It is... Lets talk about it tonight and get it going this week.
Up for consideration:
Option 1-Starting a new Hobbit Hole that would be a TTT themed "one-thread" where we continue the idle Hobbit Hole chit-chat, but I would post weekly "Green Dragon" chapter posts just like I did before... kindof a theme for the week.... The book discussion would then weave in and out, back and forth through the chatter. Those of us that hang out here would be able to follow it, but I would worry about the Green Dragon lurkers getting lost in it. It may loosen up the conversation a little though. Did interest wane in the GD because it was too stuffy?
Option 2-Leave this thread the way it is until it implodes, and start a new TTT Green Dragon. The reason I am hesitating to start a new GD thread is that discussion began to wane there toward the end of FoTR, and left me feeling like there was no one even reading it any more, let alone posting on it. There were only a few of us that stuck with it all the way through, and I felt silly making these fancy posts, pinging fifty people, and not having any responses... I wondered sometimes if you the faithful began responding out of guilt rather than interest. I am not unwilling to post a new Green Dragon, but I have been waiting for "demand".
Other ideas? - I am about to hit the road for the next two hot cramped-crawling traffic-obstructed hours that are my commute. See you when I get home, after I have sprayed myself down with the hose to cool off on the way to the house!
I see that you are still complaining about the 'heat' in Seattle. Some people just do not recognize when they have it good. Nice sharks, by the way!
Is anyone surprised that I am also Charlie Brown? I think that he was a hobbit anyway.
That will be so important for him, just knowing he has some folks who care and are willing to spend time with him. It's great he has a friend in your son; they are 'cousins' after all. I hope your brother-in-law can get custody. It sounds like the boy's mom is a real FLAKE!
Did you get one yet? We used to have a Coleman Williamsburg. It was nice, but we just got tired of putting it up and taking it down. We like hotel rooms these days. Guess we're getting old! LOL! A friend just bought a nice Dutchman with a king and a double bed, 3 burner stove, refrigerator and heater. It is is very good condition!
Most definitely. Earlier this year my sister-and-law and her husband went to Israel. His mom refused to let him go (which actually we thought was rather sane of her). But this summer she's tried to talk him into going with her and her new guy to Lebanon...
Most recently she showed up at an Orthodox funeral in full Muslim regalia...
