Shh! Dont say fireworks! the dog was almost asleep! - Alas, one day she will be deaf like the two old dogs! - Fireworks never bothered the other two though... and the jittery one is the one that can still hear. It is a cruel word.

A hot bath sounds good to me. I may try that myself before bed!

Ohh, I ate too much at the restaurant, but it was sooooo good (TexMex). Also found out some interesting things while at the bookstore, such as the new Tom Hanks movie Road to Perdition was based on a comic book (excuse me, graphic novel) of the same name, which I had not known before.

Steve and I were married on Dec. 22nd then went on our honeymoon a week later. We were in Ensenada (sp?) for the New Year and we listened to the fireworks going off all that night right outside where we were staying. Fireworks always seem romantic to me since then!

What restaurant? Not CHUY'S I hope!!!

I know less than you about it, because I didn't know it was a movie or a "graphic novel" (is that really what they are called?) - Haven't seen the ads for it I guess!
I had Cheerios for dinner. I live like a bachelor sometimes, I swear.

Well, that is nice... I like the big shows, because I can go to them and they are far from here. I just don't like the personal fireworks and the havoc that it wreaks on my quite farm.
And close up they scare me... I already told my brother that I will send my kids (if I ever have them) to his house for the fourth, so they can have fun without me freakin out on them... The little zippy colorful things that bounce around on the ground? - Hate those things!

What restaurant? Not CHUY'S I hope!!! No, another chain place called Don Pablo's. It's on FM620 near Lakeline Mall... now that I think of it, Lakeline Mall was probably put in after you left Austin. Anyway, it's not far from the FM620 & US183 intersection. Had some good chicken fajitas and a wonderful apple pie/vanilla ice cream dessert (yum!)

Cherrios are a good light supper...with a piece of fruit or some juice. Especially if you ate a heavy lunch. The milk gives you protien, the Cherrios give you carbohydrates (without too too much sugar) and the juice or fruit gives you your vitamins and fiber!

Cheerios are boring. I want wings! Where's OT?

The little zippy colorful things that bounce around on the ground? - Hate those things! We did some of these the other day...very intimidating little buggers! The boys loved them, but they had to stay way back from them. After they finished spinning, I swear they would blow like a blowtorch. Amazing! The kids love smoke bombs most of all...we stick mostly with those.

I've seen previews for
Road to Perdition a couple of times now, it looks very good. Tom Hanks as a depression-era gangster turning against his "godfather" (played by Paul Newman) in order to protect his son, who has witnessed a murder (done by his father and another gangster).
And, yes, when comic books are trying to be respectable they call themselves "graphic novels". :)

Well, as a matter of fact, I had Cheerios for lunch too...
They aren't that low on sugar because they are Honey Nut Cheerios... I don't have any fruit, but I did have toast with grape jelly!

(pssst...I had honey bbq wings for supper!)

I wish you were all here...we'd have a great breakfast in the morning.

I had Cheerios for lunch too..Even when I was a bachelor I ate better than that.
'Course, I had the waistline to show for it, too...

I always think those zippy things are gonna jump on me and stick...
I got hit in the thigh with an errant bottle rocket once, so my fears are founded on something... But I was not this against them till I got horses. It is too easy for something to go bad when you have a 1200 pound animal whose only reaction to fear is to run like hell. They are OK tonight, really. They are closed in the barn, and although they startle, they dont get up a head of steam in there. If the fireworks get worse I may go sit out there, but right now, the dog is being worse. I just gave her another pill ;~D This is turning out to be a pretty good test of the system for tomorrow... Quite a few of the neighbors are shooting them off already.

Ok, I'm going all. I'll start the Pledge. You can finish it or let someone else or not.
I pledge allegiance to the flag...

I turned down a steak dinner in town to be here... Wish they delivered... hehehe
