Oooh...what you said....

Don't forget the skeeter spray! It's right next to the shark repellant.

That's the stuff!
The recipe calls for
SKIP AND GO NAKED PUNCH
(make in a large tub or cooler)
12-pack beer (any kind)
1 Bottle of Vodka
1 Bottle of Champaigne
1 Bottle of wine
2 frozen lemonade concentrate.
Although, I think you can customize it for whatever you happen to have on hand... it is surprisingly tasty if made like the above... tastes like frothy lemonade.

Don't go in the water at dawn or dusk (really....that's what they say.)
...and if you get caught in a rip tide, swim perpendicular to the tide (parallel to the shore.)
...get some meat tenderizer for jelly fish stings.

Oooh...what you said....Lilliputian
Sorry

Well, I hate the name of what I was thinking of. And actually (honestly) I've never really had it. But a friend called it "Purple Jesus Punch" (I don't know why).
It's basically the same, but you pour in any kind of liquor you have and add the grape kool-aid...

What? Short jokes from a dwarf?

Don't go in the water at dawn or dusk (really....that's what they say.) That's what I've heard. Both of the attacks near us last year (Virginia Beach and Outer Banks) happened at about 6 p.m. (of course where we go is right at the mid-point between those two spots) Supposedly that's when they're feeding and more active.
I've also heard:
- don't pee in the water
- don't go in the water if you have an open wound/sore
- don't wear shiny jewelry
- women who are menstruating should avoid the water
- if you see a lot of gull activity over the water, stay away, cause that's where the fish are.
I think ultimately, it's common sense. The sharks have always been there and we just need to pay attention. While we hear the horror stories, the odds really are in our favor if we're not stupid.
I've never heard of meat tenderizer for jelly fish stings. Thanks for the tip.

Some people say mix ammonia with the tenderizer but I've never heard in what proportions.
Titanic?

We'd probably just surrender and head for a Doc in the Box...

None of the usual semi-sneaks around today?
To: Corin Stormhands
Apparently not....they must have sneaked off.
