We did not get much snow at all...it snowed once for about five minutes and then a little later for about 3 minutes....but this snow is supposed to potentially coming to us for the next few days

HairoftheDog...I am like you, I have Nordic ancestry...my mom was 100 percent Norwegian...I cannot stand the hot weather...but I was born and raised in Chicago and learned to withstand their frosty frigid winters, and their hot and humid summers...then hubby, me and boys lived in North Carolina for five years, when hubby was transfered to Ft Bragg...that heat there was just awful...hot and humid...of course we had central air conditioning, and the car was air conditioned, and all the stores were air conditioned, so we managed...and of course, Ft Bragg had about 8 Olympic sized swimming pools, so me and the kids spent our summers at the pool...Palo you would have loved that...it was great fun...

But as far as climates go, I really love this temperate climate of the Pacific Northwest...

Me too... The rain gets in my way sometimes when my horse and I would like to explore the hills, but I wouldn't give up my nice shady trees for any sunnier clime!
