good, i hate to tone down the chirpiness, when i could just as easily be a caterwauling shrew....

my 10 yo son is home sick today. thankfully, actually, since last night after i read about the Yates verdict on FR i went into the other room where the kids were and said "Andrea Yates...guilty...fry her butt". He was mimicking me the rest of the night with that and i had visions of him going into class intoning that today. i have no problems being known as pro-death penalty, but that was just a tad too flip!

I'm torn here.. The death penalty in Texas is a lethal injection, quick and relatively painless. I've suffered more than that during any one of my illnesses/surgeries I've had, not to mention those poor babies..

I heard somewhere that some people on deathrow are anxious to "get it over with"..I think a worse punishment is to live out the rest of her days on death row.. waiting.. in a cell plastered with pictures of her children...I've also heard "you can never run from yourself".. being left to remember what she has done is more cruel than putting her out of her misery. make sense?
