Thank you. He was a good boy and he loved his snickerdoodles. His Oma calls them Snackerdoodles.
Here's something to wash those cookies down with.
Hot Vanilla Butterscotch Milk Punch
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
3/4 cup hot water
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
9 cups warmed milk
4 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 pinches salt
Whipped cream or topping
Nutmeg
Melt brown sugar in large saucepan. Stir constantly. Slowly stir in hot water and bring mixture to boiling point. Add butter and cook 1-2 minutes. Add milk. Heat slowly. Stir constantly. Blend in vanilla and salt. Serve hot with whipped cream and nutmeg garnish. For the grownups you can add just a "smidge" (or more) of rum (best)or really good whiskey.

A different fudge recipe for those who like pineapple (and we do)
Pineapple Fudge
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup half-and-half
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
Combine sugar, cream, butter and pineapple; stir. Cook over medium-low heat to soft-ball stage. Cut off heat and let fudge sit a few minutes. Add pecans. Beat until crystals form on side of pan. Pour into buttered 6-by-8-inch dish or pan. Cut into squares. Remove pieces from pan to wax paper. Let cool.
